I'm not a streamfag. I want to contribute to the distributors here in the UK.

Anime here is very vulnerable to cuts due to the BBFC, most anime gets age restricted to 15 or occasionally 18. Plus the cost to get an anime age rated goes up by £7 for every minute of content, distributors have to pay thousands of pounds for just one series.

I don't collect anime, because I hate it when one format makes the previous one obsolete. I collect manga.

How about them aniplex prices?

>I'm not a streamfag. I want to contribute to the distributors here in the UK.
Disgusting, how about supporting the JP industry by importing shit, faggot?

Because I like having the physical thing, I don't want to risk getting viruses, and it feels good not to break the law.

See I like having the physical thing but I still torrent. Sucks that Sentai doesn't add any extras 99% of the time yet charge like $50 per blu-ray.

I torrent a lot of stuff as well, but I do buy stuff like mangas and dvds to help creators and publishers make some money, Guess that kind of makes up for pirating stuff right?

You are still breaking the law. From the perspective of a brainwashed copyright supporter, no your purchase does not make up for your torrenting.
See, the main problem people have with torrenting is not that you acquire the files for free. It's that you are also giving them to others. That's why DDL is so much safer than torrenting.

I'm not that far down the slippery slope and I never intend to go that far.

No, they look uneven/bad on the shelves. I buy all my manga tho, if it has an english translated release i buy that instead of reading it online.

Yeah I should probably stop torrenting, And look into DDL alternatives. Its still not legal but its better than torrenting stuff I guess. And hope that I never get sued or go to court.

With anime it doesn't really matter, unless you are really fucking stupid.
Live action stuff (especially recent releases) and music are more interesting to the bounty hunters.

Like Marvel movies or game of thrones for instance?

Yeah. And also anything from your country.

Shitty TL, shitty quality, overpriced manga. Would not buy again.

...

no, i do have some collectible lain vhs' but that's about it

Rate my taste the first week I was into anime Sup Forums

>collecting localizations
Why would anyone ever do this

To watch them with one's parents, obviously.

I was under the pretense when I was a noob that "official" meant "quality". It took me a few thousand dollars to figure that out. Now I have a large piracy record and could probably be sued for millions.

WhatEveryoneWatched/10
Most people will deny this.

Look up what "pretense" means.

i would if i were a rich fuck, but charging $30 for a season on blu ray is like throwing money away to me. Manga on the other hand i buy what i want if its cheap or on a whim but i wouldn't collect that either.
>i feel like after years of collecting you'll look at your collection with regret

how big is it mate? pics?

>owning the shitshow that is angel beats

I've been collecting for over 15 years, and I am only getting happier with my little library.

Some 800 manga, give or take. No pictures.

How many bins of things that don't matter do you have?

Yeah? And? Pretense too big a word for your ESL ass?

I'm the user with picture you replied. That's a different guy. Only shows from that pic I like are Clannad, Ookami, and Bebop. All those were blind purchases. Essentially just burned my money

No seriously, look it up.

Fine, I'll play your shitty ass game, Pajeet. Now quit giving English lessons and get back to being a normal retard

He was indeed under a pretense. Ur making yourself look bad user. Just stop.

Just pay for a VPN... I pay 20 bucks every 3 months to Torguard, and never have to worry about getting a letter in the mail or comcast pushing a warning to your modem etc. As far as anyone knows, its a machine halfway across the world Torrenting..

>torrenting
>VPN
That's pointless. Your IP is still visible.
If you want to protect yourself, buy a seedbox somewhere in Eastern Europe.

but death note, baccano, and black lagoon are pretty good user

I've torrented terabytes within two years and never heard a peep from anybody. And I'm just on a fucking Comcast plan. There's no boogeyman out to get you.

It really depends what you download and what trackers you're on. I've never bothered to apply any costly protection to my set-up either, but that's because all I want is anime.

I have box sets for Planetes, Evangelion, Gankutsuou and a couple other ones. I used to have more but sold a bunch since I really don't watch dvds anymore.

I have a lot of manga but my collection's also getting too big so I started downloading scans and rips instead.

That dbz shelf is nice

you don't understand why people multi proxy do you?

ew. I do buy manga and will eventually increase my figure collection. Also some light novels.

>ew

Females are not allowed here

look at all that normalfag entry level shit

and yes i do buy dvd/bds sometimes

used to have a shit load of vhs back when I was a kid but I don't really have any now since I don't have a dvd/bluray player.

yes to support the creators

Some of them are good.
