Seiji Yokoyama, best known for his work on the Space Pirate Captain Harlock and Saint Seiya series, passed away on July the 8th in Hiroshima due to pneumonia. He was 82 years old.
I don't particularly care when directors or writers die, but the world having one less amazing composer in it sucks that much more.

I have not known him or his work but it seems natural to pay respects. However, at age 82, it just doesn't feel right to be sad for him, so I'll just say "thanks for your hard work".

Fans are the ones who are more shocked since it was sudden and we already lost Araki and Barrero just last year (The LA Spanish voice for Seiya).
But indeed, sadly Yokoyama was very old, and all we can really do is accept it and remember him through his music.
