This. The Cipher Pol alone can't do shit. The CP9 got taken down by the SHs pre-timeskip. I feel like the CP0 are there to gather intel and then, if necessary, send in the actual muscle. That being the Marines. But since Stussy hasn't mentioned calling the Marines at all I doubt that'll happen here. You have to remember, nobody expected the SHs to interfere at the wedding. Not even Stussy. This is an unexpected development for them. I doubt they'll have time to summon Akainu and forces in time.

Why do people think this arc isn't about to end? Oda said we are getting the Reverie story and some of Wano this year and there are only ~20 more chapters this year if you account for a break once every few weeks. How much longer can they drag this on and still do that?

872 spoiler BEST CHAPTER IN AGES

The castle is collapsing.

While everybody is confused, Bege takes advantage of the situation succeeds to escape.

Bege says that there is no need to kill them as the collapsing castle will do the job, but Streusen uses his ability and the castle becomes a real whole cake and Big Mom and the rest suffer no damage.

Luffy and Bege wish each other well and use their own respective ships to escape.

Meanwhile, Big Mom is acting weird.

As she failed to eat the wedding cake, her symptoms kick off.

Big Mom combines her power with Zeus to make a large storm, but Jinbe comes out and makes giant waves to protect the ships.

Meanwhile, Giberson and Umit who get shockened looking for protection. They accidentally found Du Feld’s dead body, but they notice that Morgans, Stussy, and Drug Peclo are nowhere to be found.

In a ruined area, Morgans is tied to a pole. Drug Peclo is laughing at him while uncovering his face, he got a terrible face with lot of scars, he is Stussy’s partner and also CP-0 member. Besides him, Stussy is seen talking to someone via den den mushi.

From the conversation. It is revealed that 3 of Big Mom children are CP-0 undercover agents who act as informants. CP-0 already knows Luffy’s team arrival to Totto Land as well as Bege’s scheme to assasinate Big Mom. CP-0 planned to use them as bait to accomplish their mission.

The man ends the conversation with Stussy, he gets revealed as Pound, leader of CP-0 special unit, as he plauses the Straw Hats. One of the agents suddenly comes and informs that they manage to free Snack from the prison.

Pound gives the command to begin the operation.
