I've never read the manga series. I enjoyed the 2016 series just fine. I've always thought people were being pretty childish about the quality, it's better than nothing.
the only reason I didn't like 2017 was it felt like daycare with guts, which is the fault of the story and not the animation quality.

I'm having a problem with the Berserk manga. It appeals to my fetishes in a way no hentai I've ever seen has. Every few chapters I just have to stop and fap. Which makes it impossible for me to read faster than a few chapters every week.

I need to see Guts assault the Falconia city with all the people viewing him as an evil black knight coming to kill their holy God Emperor, although with the RPG party aspect and all going on now I don't feel like Miura still has the heart to have Guts slaughter humans anymore. Griffith's best Apostles should be a good battle though.

I read fairly regularly. the reason I don't read comics is I want to read the text but feel fatigued by the artwork as though it's in the way of the story. pages without dialogue are even more painful.

I do agree that he needs to write it out, though. I've been reading his interviews, and it was a shock to me to learn that he makes a lot of the story up as he goes along. Even though he earned a lot of trust from me, I'm starting to worry that his vision for the story may become diluted in the coming decade if he doesn't lock it in more.
