Do whatever you want. But Netflix doesn't belong on Sup Forums.

Godfuckingdammithirostoprecivingmoneyfromcompaniestoletthemshilltheirshittyproductsonmyshittyboardyoufucktardchink

Well yeah, it's shite for movies.

What genre this kind of song is anyway?

I will actually tell you what's wrong with Netflix with as few memes as possible.

First of all Netflix is a proprietary platform. This means you don't have a way to know what the software you're running actually does, which puts your privacy and security at risk. Netflix also must have a credit card, etc. db in an online server, meaning that if the security of it ever gets breached you're at risk of all your information being leaked unless you're paying with pre-paid but keep in mind a lot of people do not.

Then there is the fact that you're paying for something that you won't ever own and can't share. If you discover this great series and want to show it to your friend living in other city you can't just lend the media to him, unlike rental DVD/BDs which had no physical DRM. Netflix also has some series that are unavailable in certain countries, effectively needing a proxy to watch something you paid for, and in some hardware you're unable to set up proxies.

Netflix doesn't pay taxes in any country except murrika I think. Netflix's content can be 50% Japanese but they won't ever pay a dime to Japan unlike local TV companies and producers. Netflix leeches off content from several countries, destroying the local media companies and not giving much in return. This is why every country began to make their own pre-paid services, taking their series off from Netflix to their own platforms, which takes me to my final point:

Netflix ruined the way people watch their media. Every media company now wants to have their own paid, streaming service, and currently no service that unifies them is avaliable. What does this mean? That if you watch media programs, be it news, sports or series, there is a high chance that each one you watch is in a different $9.99m/o service and you will end up paying over a hundred bucks per month for them, more than 4 times what people currently pay for cable television.

Spending money? Not allowed on Sup Forums.

>This means you don't have a way to know what the software you're running actually does

"oh no, your smart TV browser history might be compromised!". Most people are running netflix through their TV or BD players built in service, or an android box or chromecast. None of these have enough relevant info stored in them to be a threat to you.

How can you be that afraid of the netflix app but are not afraid of your own torrent software, the camrips you download, and whatever other high risk shit you do on your PC or the sites you access?

Netflix already openly datamines your history and everything else you do through their platform, that's no secret and you agree to it when you sign up for their service. Depending on the hardware running Netflix the platform could enable some big brother features. Most Smart TVs already do this anyway.

Well, I use free and open source bittorrent software. ųTorrent includes buttcoin miners.
>camrips
If they aren't in an executable format why should I worry? I won't use a player that executes binary blobs or connects to the Internet either, so as long as it's in a video container it will be fine.

I always keep my browser updated so it would be extremely rare to get a malware merely from visiting a website, not to mention I don't use Windows so the malware being compatible with an up to date Linux system is as improbable. Remember kids, always keep your systems up to date.

Anything else?

They don't normally cut the OP, it just skips it if you move onto the next episode.

They belong in Sup Forums as much as crunchy or funi does you retard

>they've cut the OP out

Literally one of the best OPs, fucking faggots

>I am invincible because I am a linux user
You are still using the most high risk websites on the entire internet as far malware is concerned. You are just one step shy of clicking the "free teen porn here" banner and raping yourself. You blindly trust in the malware protection that other people have provided for you.

It's the PC equivalent of fucking young homosexual men with needle marks on their arms that you met in the public bathroom in the park at night, sometimes 10 men a day, but saying "it's ok I use a condom and I ask them not to cum inside me if they are going in bareback".

Netflix anime selection is lackluster and I torrent too. I just find it funny when people use software from based on advice from random anons and visit high risk wesbites "because Sup Forums said it was safe" and then automatically distrust all commercial software, products and services.

>the most high risk websites on the entire internet
That would be 3DPD and streaming sites, you need to have brain damage to find a risky anime torrent site.

So they don't belong on Sup Forums then you retarded newfag.

anime sites are usually safe yes. Your asian camrip sites not so much.

if we all just buy a netflix subscription the advertising will go away :)

>Netflix
Try hanging yourself.

You don't understand how malware infections work. You're just a contrarian kid.

The contrarian kid is the one who is raging at netflix and all mainstream commercial software and services but believes he is a hotshot young rebel because he installed gentoo.

I was once follwoed arround by an autist back when bestbuy had a PC game section. He told me how mainstream I was and that it was time to switch to linux. I swear I am arguing with that same guy now.

Fuck off to whatever normalfag hole you came from.

Netflix only releases whole seasons since it's designed for bingewatching.
This hurts the seasonal anime since they started buying exlclusivity contracts for some anime shows, which aren't getting CR subs because of this.
You either don't pirate and wait atleast 3 months for the show and miss out on all the discussion (which makes watching seasonal anime so fun) or you go pirate eventhough you are paying for the service (netflix / crunchy / eg).

The other problem is that fansubbing from japanese is slowly dieing since CR got so popular, Kakegurui and Fate / Apocrypha are slowly subbed because of this netflix exclusivety, Fate for example is literally only subbed by UTW, which were dead for the last 2 years and came back because of the current situation.

I gave multiple reasons as to why Netflix is a kuso service. I don't know what Sup Forums did to you but I rarely go there. I use Linux mainly because I am a C programmer, and because I like my OS to not lag.

How many anime streaming services are there now?

Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Crunchyshit, Anime News Network and Daisuki as far as I know.

There's Hidive as well, since anime network became cable tv only
