Why? First of all, almost all of the premium streaming services are the ONLY mainstream sources that actually show controversial content. That's why you pay for them; that's why they are able to show titties, ass & say nigger & get away with it.
It's the reason why amazing shows like GoT exist. Premium streaming services have elevated television to a height that has never been seen in it's existence.

Most TV shows I've seen have characterization and plot far worse than the average anime, to be quite honest. There are sometimes exceptions, but more often than not TV shows are pretty terrible. And I don't have anything against them, I'm watching and enjoying some of them.
