That is why both sides funded the dossier (if you accept that the washington free beacon is "republican", or better yet Bill Kristol is) and went on TV everyday on CNN defaming Trump. They are both controlled by the same families and institutions. Specific donors, mostly foreign control the DNC, and chamber of commerce controls the RNC, and both entities work together. Hence why BOTH parties are largely for "immigration reform" (read amnesty) because the DNC wants the votes, and the RNC wants the cheap labor. The foreign donors want to blow up the DNC because it would build a permanent underclass and invite socialism and weaken the US, the RNC wants to appease its business donors and the chamber of commerce with lower wages. Ok long winded, anyways, Trump despite what anyone thinks if you would have to pick a political ideology is more democrat than republican, but is more business than social.
