Looks too white and clean

This is an Aztec Former Goddess (Servant)

The aztecs were obsessed with cleaniness and hygine, they had a dedicated civil class of street sweeper, bathed daily, and had waste mangement systems to divert feces out to their artificial island gardens to act as fertilizers.

All of the spanish accounts remarked that their cities were most well kept and beautiful cities they had ever seen.

si los aztecas vieran como se encuentra ahorita deseguro se volverian a morir

>I actually liked the ridiculous proportions in Dragon Maid but honestly the boob service wasnt that good.
It is current manga canon that the boobs represent their dragon breath organ. No idea how it applies to male dragons.

Nice

Sorry user, I actually don't speak spanish despite being an azteceaboo

where is the boing?

This shit awoke my inner armpit fetish, though. Anime was a mistake.

you have to mod it for the boing

Es una verdadera lastima

Aztec anime when?

Recommend any books on the culture and mythology? Looking at this stuff is pretty fascinating.

>porn star silicone tits

I expected better from her

I usually defer to /r/AskHistorian's book list, since the people there actually know what they are talking about, it's one of the few good things to come out of reddit.

That being said, here's some I was recommended on recently, that might not be on their booklist.

Are for understanding specifically stuff like their literature, poetry, and their thought process in that sort of context.

I was told in no uncertain terms that amazon.com/Arquitectura-Prehispanica-Ignacio-Marquina/dp/B000IBDBT8 is the definitive resource on mesoamerican architecture, but it has no english translation. I have a few other recommendations for stuff like art and architture but I don't think that's what you were asking about

I forget the context of what these were reccomended for in particular, though the last one is obviously in terms of military policy and warefare.

There's also obviously the primary sources, being actual native books (though there are only few that escaped being burnt and pobviously aren't in a language you know) Cortes's letters, The True History of the Conquest of New Spain, but these have errors especially in regards to culture as both Cortes and Bernal Diaz didn't really understand the culture they were seeing and had political reasons to exaggerate or downplay certain elements, so these should really be read with the context of other works that have the benefit of modern research so you know what's disputed or known to be wrong.

that's a succubus

Is it weird that I think her eyes are her most attractive feature?

If the Aztecs saw how it is now, they would surely die again

the dragons have pretty eyes in general. but her winking and smile are a great combination

yes

Sweet, looks like a bunch to go through.
Thanks, man.

No problem, I really suggest taking a look through askhistorians reading list first though

>the blood spilling down the stairs
Thats metal

>I wonder how she feels that all of her worshippers had their cultures, cities, and books razed to the ground, never to be seen again despite them being pretty as fuck
Not Cortez fault that they had such a fragile arrangement.

en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Aztec&oldid=790645839

>It originated in 1427 as a triple-alliance between the city-states Tenochtitlan, Texcoco, and Tlacopan, who allied to defeat the Tepanec state of Azcapotzalco, which had previously dominated the Basin of Mexico.
They got rid of the previous empire.

>The empire extended its power by a combination of trade and military conquest. It was never a true territorial empire controlling a territory by large military garrisons in conquered provinces, but rather controlled its client states primarily by installing friendly rulers in conquered cities, by constructing marriage alliances between the ruling dynasties, and by extending an imperial ideology to its client states.
I guess that did not work out.

>mexicans get butthurt and destroy everything the other natives built once spain is out of fucks to give
typical

Well Mexican's still exist, so there's that.

It's accurate that other nation's in the region played a huge part in the toppling (cortes and his men would have died had the Tlaxcala not decided to spare and help him), but Cortes and Spanish were directly responisble for not merely toppling the empire, but systmatically destroying the culture, cities, and records.

That would not have happened, otherwise, reusing existing infrastructure and cities, even ones long abandoned and occupying them, was the norm in the region.

Tenochtitlan would not have been toppled and burned to the ground, it just would have been occupied by whatever group succcesfully sieged and took it over. The cultural practices and history wouldn't have been destroyed, and not nearly as many of the native books would have been burned. What happened was the burning of the library of alexendria, but times ten thousand. It wasn't just a ton of info, it was nearly the entire history of an entire branch of human history in addition to european and asian, and culture and their cities.

Modern mexicans are mostly mixes of spanish and natives. like 95% of the actual native population was dead within a century after this all happened, mainly due to smallpox.

>This is an Aztec dragon (Feminist)

ftfy

you're drunk again, funimation, go home

Ah. That explains everything.

>Aztec god
>white

If you want to take over permantly you have to eradicate the natives.

Not like anyone else does things differently.

And Christ is a brown jew that is represented as a white guy in burgerland.

She could pick whatever form and she chose to look like that.

...

>filtered bloated shit gif
This shit should be bannable when webms were already made of these scenes.

Tohru a fucking best. Your goddess a shit.

God bless burgerland.

Well, that's not what quite happened either.

It's 6am here and I didn't go to bed so i'm too tired to really explain further, but it was the actions of Cortes and other conquistadors that really amounted to the systematic destruction of culture. Spain itself and the Church didn't want that, it was considered exceptionally cruel and ihumane even at the time: Cortes actually had a warrant for his arrest and there was other spanish forces out to stop him right before shit really went south with the aztecs out by the governer of Hispaniola because they wanted normal trade with native groups instead and was acting out of line. The letters he sent to Charles V that I mentioned before was him trying to save his own ass and justify his actions to not be punished by the crown. Many friars and other church officials who came to the region after the aztecs were toppled were instrumental in saving what records we still have left and condemned the actions of other conquiestadors as they were doing what cortes did to other kingdoms and empires in the region.

The spanish as a whole actually kept most of the social hierarchy and stuff intact: native nobles got to keep their positions and shit as long as they payed taxes, and many of the cultural traditions were still being praticed (though it was also pretty common for them to be stamped out as being pagan). This is partially why a lot of mexican culture has a lot of native influences., and why there are still Maya and other people who live and have traditoons, because the spanish just had rights to these huge swaths of land and didn't really give a shit who lived there or how as long as they got the money.

It was really just conquistadors going apeshit and wrecking shit murdering and burning, and then and dieases killing of everybody who was native who was still left to pass knowledge down that really did it

Also if you want to know more, AskHistorians has a lot of threads about this you can find on their FAQ and by searching

Another example: Constantinople is still around as Instanbull, isn't it? It wasn't destroyed to the ground. Same for most other cities and their culture and their texts.

Obviously, ransacking, destroying, and burning of texts did and does happen as part of warefare elsewhere, but it's not quite the same thing and it should be pretty evident by the results: We don't think of native american stuff as being a whole third subset of human history alongside western and eastern. We don't teach or have huge references to native american (by native american, I mean "native cultures of the americas", not just north american native tribes) culture or history like we do those, either. You can think of all of the unoiquely european or asian tropes or visual motifs or random cultural tidbits that show up in popular culture that simply doesn't exist with mesoamerican or andean culture in the same regard despite being equally urbanized and complex.

We would litterally have and hold mesoamerican and andean culture and history in the same regard and level of detail as ancient greece or japan or china or egypt otherwise.

>no bounce
confirmed for silicone inside

Love how there were supposedly enormous white cities with tons of riches but now there is nothing, even when those cities and temples were supposedly not that old.

Most of it was probably bullshit but I wouldn't dare to say what was bullshit and what wansn't

>Hats in a church

That does not really contradict what I hypothesized.

>Lucoa
>80% of replies is about history of Quetzelcoatl himself and it's culture
If only Maidragon threads were actually this decent even though i don't know jackshit about them, and i'm okay with it

Well, you were saying that the cultural eradication was an intentional element of them trying to maintain control over the region, which would be incorrect.

The cultural eradication was just the conquistadors in particular being greedy destructive assholes. The actual spanish's plan to dominate the region would not have involved that.

I liked Lucoa a lot more after I rewatched Maid Dragon. At first she's just a kind of amusing titty monster, but I gained a lot more love for her on my second viewing. She's a silly, but she also seems really motherly and caring. The type that would let you rest your head on her lap while she fingers your hair while you fall asleep. Not to mention she would most definitely be ready and willing to do anything in the sack.

Also, her eyes are strange but oddly cute.

MOMMY

I'm going to Japan to marry Minami Takahashi. Wish me luck guys!

No

it's her hat

Best Boobs ever.

If I beat up Shouta, will Lucoa kill me?

Yes

someone post the Funimation dub edit

yes, unless his daddy gets you first

I dont think his dad is gonna beat a dragon to the kill.

he is a super powerful sorceror though

But Goddess level? I doubt it.

You don't worship sento's tits though, you worship her ass

Kid actually has been showing off his magical abilities in the recent raw chapters.

>Casted an invisibility spell so they don't get noticed by animals in the forest they visit
>Put a sleep spell on saikawa so she doesn't notice Elma in dragon form.

It would be extremely painful

>Put a sleep spell on saikawa

がんばって!!!

He did it on the fly as well. I would really like it if shota eased up on his principals a bit and took up Lucoa on her initial proposal to teach him magic.

Nope, Dragon (Goddess)

No that's a poor, oppressed womyn subservient to those pesky patriarchal societal demands

I LOVE LUCOA

Why are you fucking his mexican pet parrot?

Precolumbian downtowns are best downtonws

the orange looking wall boards and the yellow tint in the roof foam makes it look like they're enclosed in trumps head.
