You should, Washizu Mahjong only gets better as it goes along.

There's a live action show that covers pretty much all of the sessions except for the very final round, which I think is like chapter 220. From there, it's a pretty quick read up to chapter 300 to finish off the whole thing.

The live action is actually pretty good. My only complaint about it is the old man playing Washizu is too adorable. There were legit moments where he just looks like your sad, loving grandpa and I wanted to give him a hug. Great guy, but not villain material in my eyes.

Should I read Ten before that or not?

You can read them in either order, really. Akagi isn't reliant on referencing stuff from Ten at all.

Also, bear in mind that the early chapters of Ten were written when FKMT had no idea what he wanted it to be about. So the early chapters are really fucking weird and slice-of-lifey.
