Currently watching episode 1 of this trash. I expect nothing good. What were your reactions? What did you think when you saw the director's animation credits were mostly porn? I expect great fanservice at least, even if the premise is the stupidest thing I've ever read. Studio has some history behind it as well, I honestly expected this to be an A-1 production, just by the synopsis.

I wanted more cellphone action desu, the guy spend the whole episode learning magic and instead of blowing their minds with it, he just goes "it's a rare item please dont ask me about it"

Also everything went waaay to fine for him:
>land on a extrange world: cellphone has a map with all relevant locations like inns, guilds, etc.
>no money: guy buy all his clothes for a pretty good sum.
>godly reflex and physical strenght that can beat anyone.
>godly magic talent.
>get a party.
All of this on the first episode, what's the point of a isekai if everything get sorted out so quickly.

At this point it seems more like a fantasy/slice of life than a isekai.

I always wonder if it's always same retard who confuses name and subject fields when he makes threads or it's multiple idiots?

I can confirm it's a different retard

>what's the point of a isekai if everything get sorted out so quickly.
the whole "MC is magically perfect at everything" is pretty much the base state of isekai though
most isekai is lowest-common-denominator selfinsert wish-fulfillment
the only reason they even have an MC from modern japan is so dumb readers can identify with him and self-insert more easily

But I mean this is way too fucking perfect. Like "oh check it out I can use ALL the magic"
If he had to use his knowledge about the other world I could appreciate it more, It would feel like he was bringing something new to the table. As it is now he just feels 100% wish fulfillment. I do like that it feels pretty lighthearted so far, it'd be interesting to see a more light take on the genre, instead of the usual edgyness and SUFFERING.

Again, not uncommon. There are shitloads of isekai LNs where MC dies and God says "oh shit sorry you weren't supposed to die yet, as apology i'll resurrect you as the most blatantly overpowered best-at-everything person in the world"

Agreed, I know it's pretty standard, but still. Even Flop:zero had some stuff that made it different, like the aforementioned suffering, so it was at least an entertaining trainwreck. this is just kinda bland. if it turns out to be more of an isekai sol I guess I could enjoy it, kinda like the first part of konosuba, where they're just living life normally. The difference is that in that show the mc wasn't basically a walking god, so watching him struggle and shit was fun

Reminder that smartphone is pure kino

I'm bothered by the low effort in direction. Feels like it could have had more impact especially in the fighting. It's also skipping blood like Gate did for a bit with violence.

don't read Death March, or isekai for that matter. you'd be in for more of the same things you're complaining about.

this user knows his stuff.

It's so shit.

Looked shit, was shit.

Have you considered that maybe someone doesn't want to do something original or fancy and just wants that wish fulfillment as an anime?

>At this point it seems more like a fantasy/slice of life than a isekai.

I thought that was the point? It's so jam fucking packed with every overtly cliche trope it's already a parody of the concept. Instead of becoming some grand, important, superman I want him to just fuck around the starting zones with his smartphone doing lowbie quests and screwing with the economy and society of the world by accident.

What's the point of this show?

Comfy, happy-go-lucky isekai with cute girls and a laidback as fuck MC.

>of this trash
hey fuck you.
this show is the best

Wasnt Shield Bro and Mushoku Tensei decent isekais?

until they both got their heads stuck up their own asses
they are both good examples of why editors exist

Don't waste your time, watch the superior Isekai Shokudou about a cross dimensional restaurant.

>laidback as fuck
More like spineless

>Reads synopsis

Really? His PHONE? The author isn;t even trying is he.

Oh and

>7/10 MAL

I swear anime fans are killing anime

It's not poorly made. I'm talking about the animation and such. It's not well made, it's kinda below average in terms of production quality. 4/10.
Story wise, it gets a big -1/10.
I would add more categories but I don't want the final score to go too low. Overall:
3/20

I like the idea because it's iseakai turned up to 11.

Well, yes. Obviously since this kinda thing still gets made. I'm just saying it would be nice to see it go somewhere different. Not that I expected much out of this show, from the synopsis alone I immediately thought this had to be the most standard isekai ever. Still, sometimes you get surprising things.

what are you talking about OP? It's the best anime of this season

They really went for the budget route aye, not as bad as konbini but up there

It's a comfy watch, I like it.

The worst part is the idea of having only a magical smartphone could very well create very interesting isekai story. Instead we get Its not a parody, is it?

Shield bro was edgy crap, kinda enjoyable at least.
Mushoku Tensei were great until the middle part then it goes downhill, kinda like Konosuba, at least Konosuba still have funny moments.

>even Flop:zero had some stuff that made it different, like the aforementioned suffering
RZ, alongside Overlord and Konosuba are exceptions (there are probably other examples but I don't want to bother remembering) where they have something unique to offer.
The rest are mostly MC die/sent to another world then got some super OP power.
