Socialised medicine....good/bad?

Why do we view socialised medicine as a negative thing, Sup Forums? I'll fully admit to not knowing much about it but after seeing the atrocious state of healthcare systems in America, I can't help but think that socialised medicine is the way to go.

I mean, even Hitler who hated communism wanted socialised medicine for his people.

What say you, Sup Forums?

Healthcare shouldn't be a business. It inevitably leads to profiteering off suffering.

ITS MY MAN GATTSU!!!!!!

sage this slide thread

omae wa mou shindeiru

I agree. I really don't know, Sup Forums is generally anti-Jew, so it makes perfect sense to reject the current state of healthcare.

GURRRIFISSSUUUU

America invents 95ish % of new medicines. If we go socialized that number would be fuckedddd.

I don't see how socialising your medicine would decrease productivity. Burgerland gives billions in aid to Jews annually, surely that money could go towards the healthcare system instead?

Besides, a lot of the FDA-approved drugs America produces is high in toxins and other bad shit which harms your system. I think I remember hearing about a drug for AIDS patients which actually killed the white blood cells in their body instead of producing new ones, thereby killing the patients.

Just give it up. Let the Chinese cure the world with potpourri.

This is the only argument against public healthcare that makes any sense.

Countries with socialized medicine don't innovate.

Forget socialized medicine. Can we talk about why one of the greatest mangas of all time CANNOT get a decent anime?

the plans proposed usually just involve "gubberman pay all lol". and the argument is "it works in yurop". but none of the proposed systems come close to how things are done in most european countries. drastic changes in the entire medical system would be needed to make it workable. coverage and treatment quality would go down a lot.

Full healthcare is unsustainable and uninventive.
Look into scandinavian healthcare if you want to, we have a pretty broad and nice sounding thing going on and it's pretty good for people with chronic ailments, not is it very expensive. But the downsides to this is that the queues are godawfully long, the norwegian healthcare system is stuck in the early 70s besides two major hospitals that are understaffed compared to the need. an average norg pays around 30% of his income in tax, 40% of that income goes to the healthcare system. But even so it has no way of sustaining a fully 21st century standard, nor is it fast or very good. Other than that we also have more or less no major inventions in the field, because subsidizing inventing medicine doesn't make it as successful as a market based system.
I like the triangular example i've seen people use where it states that you can have two of three choices Speed, Quality or price. But our system only covers price more or less, and is being left in the dust every year that passes

a real tragedy

it used to be pretty good but after all these centuries it feels like miura has no idea where to go with the series anymore, he'll probably die before he finishes it anyway

I live in a socialised medicine country and I tell you it's shit

>been jerking
>touching my balls
>find lump near right testicle
>am fucking 20, shouldn't really have this
>go to local proctologist penis doctor next morning, skip uni
>a line to next ward of 80 year old wheezers
>stand in line for 2 hours just to give my papers to see when doctor will be able to appoint me for examination
>"well, he is bussy, you will have to wait for 5 months"
>"I can't really wait, I just found about a lump on my testicle"
>nurse pitties me amongst those geezers and pushes my papers in between some geezers and I cut in line
>wait another 4 hours
>skipped entirely of uni classes at this point
>get in
>5 minutes check up
>"I can't feel anything"
>he didn't even touch where I told him to touch
>"you're just imagining it, I will give you a paper to ask for ultrasonic rengen"
>basically translates into "you will have to wait for 8 months instead of 5"
>FUCK THIS

>go to private doctor because I ain't fucking around when my gene spreading is at stake
>50 bucks equivalent (all my saved up shit at that month, but worth it)
>wait 3 days
>no waiting in line at least
>female doctor gives me ultrasound
>tells me it's pressure difference between testicle and the tubing and cyst formed from too much sperm basically
>nothing worth noting but my veins are little bit bigger on testicles because pressure
>WORTH IT

can't understand why anybody would go to gubbinment doctor

Niggers, stop talking about the anime. You're going to have my thread saged again.

private medicine doesn't exist here, everything is state owned

fine fuck, just respond to my post and get a discussion going

Here in sweden we have the #1 socialized medicine, and it's alright. Despite being heavily dependent on our current system, I would rather see lower taxes and private medicine.

>Swedish flag

wew, lad. Hey how's the situation over there going?

it mainly exists here because doctors would go away from country due to higher wages elsewhere

by law they are allowed to work less hours in public hospitals and more private hospitals if they have private hospital to go to and tax write offs

Things are mostly normal unless you are in the worse off suburbs and city areas, I get the impression that there is a growing feeling of unease spreading, though this might just be my imagination. In hospitals there's the occasional incident now that there are a lot of "new" patients visiting.

Soooo....race war?

>race war
I'm giving it a 30% chance that it kicks off this year, depending on how the election pans out.

>I'll fully admit to not knowing much about it but after seeing the atrocious state of healthcare systems in America, I can't help but think that socialised medicine is the way to go.
>obamacare
>not socialised medicine
Sure thing, bud

>Why do we view socialised medicine as a negative thing, Sup Forums?
Taking away money from the people living healthy and productive lifestyles through taxation to pay for stupid irresponsible and degenerate lifestyle choices is definitely not the way to go. If you fuck up your own health, you should pay for it.

Anything that takes the choice of what sort of care or procedures you can get in a terrible thing. The state should not get to determine if you do or don't get treatment for a certain ailment because it now becomes a cost/benefit issue, which will inevitably lead to legitimately horrific consequences. The fact that these procedures or treatments may be expensive and unaffordable is not, by any stretch of the imagination, the same thing as the state saying yes or now.

Only fucking morons believe socialized medicine won't eventually turn into some dystopian future.

Okay, but you're generalising everyone with that way of thinking. Not everyone is an idiot who harms themselves constantly.

What about normal people who fucked up and hurt themselves bad or just people ridden with a bad fever? Or who require immediate surgery? The greatest effort should be taken by the state to look after their people. And no, that does not include niggers.

If you don't have enough workers, you hire them and incentivise students to study biology and find work in the health sector. If your hospitals are too small, build bigger ones. There is a solution if you try.
