The impression I got from Karna between his fight with Siegfried is that Karna is shows no impression when he is fighting. Whereas when I think about Gil, he often talks more than he fights.

Karna's very serious about fighting, but he tends to enjoy challenging fights, which are rare for him. He grins like a madman before fighting Arjuna, but not much else will give him a battle boner.

Be fair, at this point Saber could end a worldlike entity. Just not the one that matters. Also Gil can win in Extella, and for a given value of "win" Angra Mainyu finds some closure at the end of HA.

Remember Saber in SN's nerfed to shit because of Shirou? It's like that, compounded by Amakusa taking his Master hostage. Although he's still a beast of a spearman without shit like Instinct, his fire prana burst is more versatile and the armor NP alone makes him a fair bit more durable. So offensively he's more of a harsh gambit, but overall he's much better at playing to his strengths. Also he does have a PROPER Master providing mana so his actual stats are less gimped, his stuff just takes so much energy it's still barely enough.

Considering Vlad's master took the home turf advantage. And breaks out an NP that bypasses his 90% damage reduction armor by telefragging stakes into him. And fusion-ha'd with Vlad to do a weird pseudo-vampire super mode. And STILL had to retreat

It doesn't necessarily have to be Divine. Vasavi doesn't actually have any special anti-divine concept to it at all. When it says "Anti-God", it means that it's got enough firepower that it'll kill a god if used on it, which also coincidentally means it'll pretty much kill anything and everything else it hits that's below god-level.
