Cry? Nay, sir. It would make me want to hug her and head pat her even more.

We got 3 series of 24 eps and the series still felt rushed as fuck an very unsatisfying. What they did to the first half of s2 was unforgivable.

It's even sadder becuase Kugimiya Rie will never get a new protagonic role now that she's old.

>Kugimiya Rie will never get a new protagonic role now that she's old
This is so god damn sad. Fuck I love her voice.

Not necessarily desu, Goku's seiyuu was almost 50 when Dragon Ball started.

I started watching this and ended up getting annoyed with the MC by around episode 3, does he get better?

Yeah he's pretty great in season three.

So just power through it till he gets better then? I'll get back to it. I think Shana is cute though.

But she's not only old, but it seems that the industry is tired of her. She only get's very minor roles now.

He mans up quite hard. Though you'll hate the beginning of season 2.

She is relegated to mascot roles now.

>sob into her chest
Must hurt due to all the ribs.

Be aware that the first cour of season two goes full retard SOL. I'm not saying its a bad thing, but no one would blame you to just skip through to the second half as it's easily the worst part of the entire series. You wont miss out on fucking anything either.

Don't forget to watch the OVAs before s3. Those are my favorite part of the whole series.

>that body swap episode
Easily my favourite episode

Tsundere are literally hitler.

I actually liked the first half of season two a lot, though I'm seemingly the only one (and that one visit to the fair around episode 7 or so was too banal even for me). The second half of season two was pretty amazing, though.

I like all three seasons for very different reasons. Season 3 was pretty great for how little breathing room there was. It was constant action and eventfulness from start to finish, which also made the exceedingly rare downtime stand out very starkly. It was also cool how there was virtually no transition. Rather than the first episode or two being an extension of Shana 2, Shana 3 became something wildly different almost from the very first few seconds of the show.

友如賽?
She is right though, friendship is competition

I still have hopes, but I'm just glad she's still getting roles.

The problem with s3 is that they had a lot of shit to tell in only 24 eps. This lead to serious issues, like killing characters that were introduced very recently so nobody cared about them.

It was hard to keep up with al the action and all the intrigue. There was no room to rest.

Also, the relationship of Shana and the MC was not handled that well. The final arc where they get back together was also rushed. It was just not fair to solve all the frustration and issue that Shana accumulated for 20+ eps in just a couple of lines.

Finally, the ending needed a longer epilogue. They should have left at the very least a whole episode after the fighting just to see then adjust to the whole new life. Instead we got a shitty narration over the ED.

What do delinquents in Japan do? Do they litter, drink underage or trash talk old people?

>Oh no, Shana is feeling weak
>She is losing her powers
>maybe this is side effect of the artifact

>lol no, she just had to poop

Fuckng love that one.

I forgot all about that. The tard tsundere era truly was a dark one.

Shana had an actual story and the tsundere was pretty rational. It's not fair to lump it with other tsunderes.

That said, the pink haired tsundere's story could have been good, but the adaption was shit.

Patrician taste. After really really, slogging through the garbage that was the first 3/4 of S2 coming across those OVA's was such a pleasant suprise.

>So just power through it till he gets better then?

Pretty much this, watch it for shana to be honest. Although if you hate the MC already you might want to skip the first half of S2 completely.

I can definitely respect where you're coming from despite enjoying season 3 without reserve. Anime taking a slower pace to more adequately develop its characters/concepts/etc is something that would benefit the medium as a whole. A longer and more meaningful heart-to-heart between Yuuji and Shana in particular was something very much needed.

JOINT > triangle = Hishoku no Sora = Serment > Light My Fire > being = Koubou = Akai Namida = Portamento > Yoake Umare Kuru Shoujo = ONE > All in Good Time = Tenjou wo Kakeru Monotachi > I'll believe = u/n > sense > Aka no Seijaku > BLAZE > Prophecy > Sociometry

Well, at least Shana herself was cute and the songs were nice.

>Sociometry in last place
>Not the season 2 openings

I though Shana 2 had great ending songs and somewhat crappy openings.

Not him, but, I personally have a soft spot for Blaze since the visuals from around the 37 second mark onward made it hype as fuck.

>JOINT
>BLAZE
>crappy

Reminder new short story coming in the next Dengeki Bunko Mag, confirmed by the man himself twitter.com/kazuma_miki2016/status/874289657667657729

Y-you normally aren't this rude, MKL.

>It's even sadder becuase Kugimiya Rie will never get a new protagonic role now that she's old.

DELETE THIS

I mean, Shana doesn't have any bad songs. Even the lowest ranked song on my list (Sociometry) is still pretty decent and hypes me up, it's just inferior to the rest.

Hey, at least she was Hoopa a few years ago.

Don't think I'll ever enjoy an anime like Shana again, though that may be also because psychosis did affect me permanently.

Last anime that had a similar feeling for me was Shinsekai Yori.

Looking up fantasy novels hasn't helped either, Iron Dragon's Daughter was was I sought but didn't feel as good.

Shana is the cutest.

>psychosis did affect me permanently

What do you mean, user-kun?

i like this thread

Shows with small fanbases (in Shana's case, because the series is old - I know it was very popular during its prime) are pretty mellow and cozy.

Do you still miss you-know-who? The anison industry just isn't the same without her.

It's not just about the show being old. Despite its flaws, it is a generally well done show with good characters and an interesting plot.

Though it seems that most of the fans have moved on to something else. The industry is very different now than what it was back then. I remember the threads we had before s3 where some anons were posting LN spoilers and all the discussion that we had.
