I understand that there are generational consequences behind a sin or mistake. Adam and Eve sinned and this introduced evil to the world. I also understand that Jesus' sacrifice paid for that.
But why are the Catholics right that the Original Sin tainted Adam and Eve's children with *guilt*, and the Byzantine Orthodox wrong that although we suffer the consequences, he don't share their guilt (we are guilty of only our own sins) ?
