Reuters/CNN/ABC don’t have bureaus in NoKorea, but their fawning coverage of NK reminds me of how CNN sucked up to Saddam so they could keep their Baghdad bureau open. Going easy on anti-American dictators is another form of Blame America First journalism.
I agree that local politics are not being taken seriously, or at least as seriously as most here would like them to be, and agree with your summation on why they aren't. However what can you point to that indicates that the GOP will go all out this election cycle?
They may have raised a lot of money and seemed to have grown a backbone based on twitter but are there any sort of assurances that come time they will use what they have against the dems at all, let alone effectively?

>So the GOP are putting all their eggs on the midterm? Better hope they don't fuck it all up then The national GOP has no involvement with the state races and never did except for localised cases. America is an union of semi sovereign stats each with its own representative republican structure: a state legislature, an executive and a judiciary and it is more than normal that each state also get their own party with their own leadership, funding and structure.
Alabama senate special election was important. Virginia governorship and house of delegates was important (because it decides the district borders for the federal elections). Ossoff defeat? Important.
All of those small house elections? Not important except for bragging rights purpose specially if they don't alter the majorities in the state legislatures. Not even those shoe in house elections that were easily won by republicans were important.
Next PA special election for the house seat? The election of the GOP lives. Lose that seat and it's worse than Alabama, there is no excuse, no explanation, only post morten and a prayer the ship can be steered before crashing into the iceberg

>New York Attorney General (((Eric Schneiderman))) filed a lawsuit Sunday against The Weinstein Co., Harvey Weinstein and Robert Weinstein over alleged violations of civil rights, human rights and business laws. The lawsuit includes "new and extensive violations" about Harvey Weinstein's "vicious and exploitative mistreatment" of company employees, according to a news statement. The lawsuit contends that company executives "repeatedly failed to take meaningful steps to protect company employees or curb" Weinstein's "misconduct" despite "many complaints" to the company's human resources department, among other factors. filing came just days before the sale of his company became final

Because it contained sources and methods supposedly that were classified/endangered natonal-security.
We know from Nunes memo that the worries Democrats had about it containing those were lies (because we saw at its release it didn't endanger any of 3 aspects).
But the biggest point you have to remember is that Dems have been leaking the content of the memo and forgot their own strict 'REE NUNES DONT RELEASE CLASSIFIED STUFF' guideline

Caffeine lasts 4-6 hours. Space them out by 5 hours each and you should be okay, however, it does raise your blood pressure, which in the long term can result in the hardening of your arteries and lead to a stroke or a heart attack. Exercise regularly, aerobics especially and you will be fine

This is what happens when you have a state/city under Democratic control for 50+ or so years. The people of Mayland and Baltimore reap what they sow. I hope they get nice and pissed off and maybe think about instituting some change. On the brighter side, at least it IS going to be fixed.

>Well fuck then, they lost 2 of those. Alabama was Mitch McConnell taking a fall to kill an external element (Bannon) with the least amount of effort spent. Virginia was rough. Gillespie leaned on neocons (and even campaigned with Bush, not even kidding) in order to flip moderate blue voters in blue districts and it worked but it did nothing to win him the 500k libertarian voters that voted third party in 2012 but that likely voted D in 2016 (young, weed concerned, millennial crowd).
Next PA? Solid red, whole party moving in lock step, president campaigning for it in a state he flipped. Lose that, midterms prospects are bleak and a lot of wake up calls will have to be made and likely even concessions in both the legislative agenda and the messaging front

The Virginia governor race was always going to go in favor of Democrats, the former Gov. was a Democrat and Hillary won the state by 5 points. Alabama was a one-time stunt. They won't be able to label every single Republican as a pedo and a sexual abuser. Besides that, Democrats were also bussing niggers in from Mississippi and outspent the GOP 4:1. On top of that Moore was extremely unpopular, it's a blessing in disguise that he lost. Imagine his sermons about hellfire and brimstone for queers on the Senate floor and how hard the (((media))) would abuse his stances on abortion and faggots. I don't want to do damage control because the GOP needs to wake the fuck up but it's not all doom and gloom, at least not yet. But if Saccone loses in a month then yes, it's time to start worrying for real.

Here is what the republicans are staking on PA candidate, Saccone
>"National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC): Politico also reported that the NRCC had invested $2 million in airtime for Saccone. The group's ads were scheduled to air from January 29, 2018, until Election Day. >Republican National Committee (RNC): Politico reported that the RNC planned to invest approximately $1 million to support Saccone. The funding was expected to go primarily to get-out-the-vote operation" > 45Committee: On January 11, 2018, Politico reported that 45Committee, a pro-Trump group, would spend $500,000 on a media campaign in support of Saccone > Congressional Leadership Fund: On January 5, 2018, the Congressional Leadership Fund announced that it was opening two field offices in the 18th Congressional District. The Fund, which is associated with U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan (R), described its 18th District plan as a "hyper-targeted operation [that] will consist of at least 50 full-time door knockers, making 250,000 voter contacts in door-to-door efforts by Election Day." The Congressional Leadership Fund has also invested $1.7 million in a media campaign supporting Saccone. >Ending Spending Inc.: On January 4, 2018, Ending Spending announced that it was purchasing $1 million in airtime for a pro-Saccone ad.

Is your position then that this weeks election is of much greater importance than the previous special elections and is an actual test of the so called blue wave?
If so, why is this one more important and what do you think will happen? Do you expect good turnout his week?
