Melodrama!

P.A. Works is okay.
It's always just okay.
Backgrounds are nice though.

Their characters and interactions are usually top tier, but my god their storytelling and pacing sucks. It's kind of telling that their best series is Shirobako since it requires very little actual plot.

Someone post the hit or miss webm

The only good thing they've done is Uchouten Kazoku.

I think I approve of what P.A. Works wants to be, but they have a long way to go before they actually are that.

and the pinkest buttholes this side of the country

Nagi no asukara was pretty good if you're into that kind of thing.
Music and art was good, so as long as you can get over the soap opera tier plot it's one of their best series.

There is actually something about the character interaction in almost every PA Works show except maybe Shirobako that bothers me.

It aims for realism but embellishes everything top the point where it all feels slightly unreal. The drama I'm okay with, I love melodrama and catharasis but the execution of it in most PA Works shows just feels off.

Tari tari

Let me guess, you love KyoAnus.

Nagi had some pretty interesting stuff but it fucked it all up with that retarded timeskip. Okadashit always infuriates me in the end.

The only KyoAni I have ever watched is half of Lucky Star.

Aren't these the guys that made Glasslip

I like the fact that the shows they do are usually something different. They might not be the best, but god damn if they aren't fucking amazing simply for not being haremshit, mechashit, toyadvertshit or fujoshit.
Sure, they made Glasslip. But it could be worse.
They could be a studio that lives off of crappy ln adaptations.

the recent mecha they did was beyond disappointing

Great guide for how the anime industry really works too

>Uchouten Kazoku

That show waa shit and the story was RETARDED

Is it even actually possible to live on $9000USD a year in japan?

The best

Ask an animator

it only has two good shows in my opinion that are even worth watching, those being shirobako and uchouten kazoku. everything else has been mediocre original shows, jun maeda shits, and nagi no asukara which i don't like. they got a long way to go before they are production IG or Bones

Animators rarely work on one project at a time. Even if they do, it's not like one project takes an entire year.

I still can't believe Okada made Hanasaku Iroha. I hate her so much but HanaIro is my favorite PA Works show by far.

>production IG or Bones
You're setting the bar very low.

It was weird and clunky at times. Maybe she had help.

>Animator - $9400
>CG Animator - $22400
And they say 3DCG anime are cheaper to produce. Then again how many CG animators does it take to produce a show vs traditional anime?

Also I never realized Tire-chan was making the most out of the Bakos

>uchouten kazoku.

Can someone please explain what makes this show good? I dont see it. The characters actions and the plot didn't make sense to me.

The whole I'm just an animal and do animal things is pretty retarded story telling since its alien to humans.

Like even gods in the ancient greek stories are far more relatable

I think her upcoming movie will be the best to judge, since she's writing and directing it.

It was just a nice looking anime where you kind of turn your brain off. The characters were awesome, but half of the time I had no idea why anyone was doing anything.

Not at all, the timeskip was actually fairly well done compared to other timeskips and I hate that shit usually.

It's a show that is whatever you want it to be. You have the freedom of interpretation.
It's mostly style over substance, I was personally sold immediately because it's in the same universe as Tatami Galaxy, but that's just me.

You're baiting hard if you think Production IG isn't far above pretty much most studios. They have done much much more than PA will most likely ever do. You can't compare them at all and I very much like PA.

Maybe the writing team in Hanasaku Iroha was just better?

She also wrote TT x2 and NNA. Considering the amount of work she puts out on a yearly basis you'd have to be retarded to assume there won't be shit among it. She can be very good, all of her work with PA was great.

>max comfy
I was gonna say that PA have decent art despite a moderate case of sameface but you're insulting my intelligence.

Name one good show.

I just really liked the narrative of sea people and surface people not getting along (but getting better), and the MC's coming of age development dealing with the surface school and his love interest possibly crushing on Tsumugu. Timeskip did away with those completely and all that was left was some lukewarm end of the world plot and more melodrama.
That's why I fucking hated the timeskip.

>just a nice looking anime where you kind of turn your brain off
>mostly style over substance,

Literally shit. Its basically the Michael Bay of anime but without as much explosions. But even transformers has better story telling.

What a garbage analogy. Much like your taste.

>progressive
>no black trans muslim MCs
literally dropped

But it brought Chisaki's drama and Miuna into the spotlight, both of which were great. I think both parts were good, I liked Akari's story pre timeskip the best anyways. I also think the timeskip created a lot of interactions between more characters and opened up the world more. It actually felt more mature in a way. None of it was really overdone, usually when timeskips occur you have some gaping hole because it's unbelievable and doesn't feel right but here it totally did, like there was a certain amount of time that actually passed and made older characters more mature without forgetting the characters and their problems, like Chisaki's issue regarding love.

religion isn't a thing in nipland my friendo

...

Enjoy your explosions fag

Can't fucking wait for P.A. Works x Okada's movie.

Hiromi?
Yes

Why do all PA Flops shows flop? Except for that self indulgent industry circlejerk that was Shitrobako.
