Ameriburger living in Baden Wurttenburg here. Let me shed a little light for my fellow 'burgers from someone who has lived in Switzerland for three years, and now Germany.
Being an Auslander, I was required by German law to attend and prove that I have some level of German speaking proficiency before being allowed to work within Germany. Coming from America, I was required to pay in full, up front all of my course time, materials, exams, travel expenses and other misc. expenses. I was the only white person in my class while the bulk of the others were comprised of Syrian and Moroccan. Being 'refugees' they don't pay a dime. My total costs to 'prove' I could speak German were around 3,500 Euro.
The Syrians rarely would come to class, never do their homework and fuck off on their free cell phones all day. During coffee breaks, they would huddle outside and make sexual gestures toward 12-15 year old girls and smoke cigarettes. Come to your own conclusions here on whether this is good for Germany.
On the German radios, TV and within the newspaper- the AfD is heavily vilified while their policies are no different than Switzerland. Trump is brought up roughly 90% of the time or more where as Merkel is rarely if ever mentioned regarding any of her policies.
The common German absolutely loves Trump- not all of his policies, but for the most part in how he is steering the US, they really appreciate. Pic related in OP is actually the minority, but the lugenpresse gives shit like this the green light.
