This. Marketing professionals know that if a movie is going to blow, they need a different approach to selling it. If they can make 'bad people' hate it, then they can make idiots go see it out of a sense of duty.

And they can scare movie reviewers into giving it good reviews for fear of being lumped in with the 'bad people'. They make enjoyment of the movie into a test of your personal goodness. And I know this metaphor is used up, but it's like seeing the emperor's clothes. If you like it, it means you're high status, smart, and good. If you don't it means you're low status, stupid, and bad.

Because, you obtuse fuck, they are deliberately shoving it down your throat and making it a test of your "loyalty." Emperor's new clothes and all.

Yeah, I mean, I agree. But they can't just make it in a vacuum anymore. Everything with leftists has to be within a social context. Literally everything. If they're not pushing an agenda, then they're failing their progressive religion.

So it can't just be a black superhero doing stuff. It has to be a commentary on white people. It has to be an attack on whiteness. And then they start lumping all of this fake 'criticism' onto it, polarizing the issue even more. And they do this to make it 'controversial' and to get thousands of articles worth of free press, and to turn going to see the movie, and liking it, into a moral duty for the progressive crowd + black people.

It's a comedy ofcourse so it's all in good fun, but even the queen his mother in the movie is played by the same actor that is the queen in the black panther movie. So about 30 years ago, hollywood made an all black movie glorifying africans and black people as kings too. So to suggest that this is some kind of massively new thing and groundbreaking to have a massive black cast and black leading role, well 1988 and eddie murphy calls, it/he wants its/his achievement back.

So it's best movie of the century because it has black people in it and for no other reason. It's already been done, if they want to celebrate it as a historic milestone, they're about 30 years too late.

There's plenty of great movies that are going to be better than black panther. Marvel is known for making good movies, but "Best movie of the century" is really just saying it because it's a black supremacist film that panders to liberals in media.

I think honestly people are going to be dissapointed, it's terrible to overhype a movie which might not necessarily be as good.

And your expectations are like through the roof, it's sold as the best thing ever, and it might be decent but not that good. And so the guy does the trick and compared to the expectation, well it's cool but far from as awesome. And so if you hadn't hyped it up you would go well this is pretty awesome. But since you had too high expectation for the delivery you end up being a little dissapointed. Hyping it already as the best movie of the century is actually pretty unfair for the cast and the director. I mean how the fuck can you deliver on something like that from a director who only made like 3 prior movies and a relatively new cast of black actors.
