if the amish are allowed to do it then probably

That's a depressing truth about rural area in Japan.
>General population growth is negative
>Young people are moving to Tokyo to get jobs

In ye olde days of my cunt schools were organised like this, yes.

Can you blame them for going where opportunities exist?

This happens all the time in small rural schools in my country, an aunt of mine is the only teacher and the principal of her school that has in average like 10 schools, all grades are combined in a single room.

>her school that has in average like 10 schools
Like 10 students in total I meant.

My mom's school was like that growing up. Her hometown was smaller than my high school.

They have it good, it's the opposite in my shithole where all the scum is pouring out of the city into the rural areas; building, filling them up and generally shitty on them.

That's fine and that's how it has been historically. The problem is what this user said which is slowly happening to me too.

Its fine if its only 5 students. The teacher can take 5 students better into account than 30 students that are on the same grade.

This is a sad trend and a failure by the government

>This is a sad trend and a failure by the government
Why?

No, but I'd hate it if I was forced to move to a dirty cancer-inducing city because of lack of opportunities.

Millennials think the government is the be-all end-all of human existence.

They should import more weebs and make them work the fields.

Why wouldn't it? Teacher can most likely teach 5 kids of different grades easier than 30 on same subject where at least one is absolut clown and two have are some sort of retards.

I don't live in nippon but I went small country school for first 6 years where there were total of 30 students and there was 3 classes, 1-2, 3-4 and 5-6 and it worked okay. We were last ones to graduate tho, they decided to get rid of very small schools.

I want to do something illegal to Komari.

>Why?
Tokyo has one of the highest population densities in the world and the city doesnt have the infrastructure to support the population to a certain standard. Also depriving smaller cities and towns in Japan has its big list of problems

Its the governments fault for allowing this to happen at this extend. There should have had been a focus in creating opportunities in smaller cities instead of allowing a flight of young people.

>the city doesnt have the infrastructure to support the population to a certain standard
You must have very high standards, then, because Tokyo is the nicest city I've ever been in. It's infrastructure is better suited to handling its population than large swaths of rural US, certainly.

It used to be the norm before the Industrial Revolution created the mess we have today

I'd still prefer the rural US to living in a metropolis like Tokyo, long term at least and preferable not the rural Midwest

Sure, I would, too. But I've never really understood how the general trend towards people moving to cities was bad.

Not that user but its mostly about running out of people in the workforce that is required to support basic functions and older generation that resides in the town. Also lack of youngsters creates a big hole in already small revenue same time they need to attract more and more people.

Its essentially about ghost towns full of old people being dysfunctional and requiring Gov aid to not go full lord of flies. It becomes a money sink in its final moments. Also previous/old/poor residents get screwed as well.

Japan's birthrate is a separate issue, in my opinion, a hard one to pin on the government. All first world nations are seeing the same thing, the difference is that the Japanese don't want to use immigration to solve for its negative side effects. Honestly, I suspect Japan is just ahead of the curve on this, as the rest of the world will eventually get there, too, so I appreciate them figuring it out for us.

>women are too busy with jobs and independent that they don't care for children
>men want children but have little to no time to take care for them
>large part of society is above the age of 60
>once they die the economy of Japan will follow suit
>government has to bring in immigrants and those that want to be in Japan in order to stay in balance but the citizens don't want that
If they go where will I get my futanari hentai? This is truly the dark ages.

Japan is a free country, they can't force their people to not move wherever they want.

>Japan's birthrate is a separate issue, in my opinion, a hard one to pin on the government.
I think lack of action is the governments fault. Yes, many first world nations suffer from this problem but in a way theyre all trying to compensate for it regardless of the outcome.

Japan has one of the lowest female workforce participation among first world countries
Men don't need to care for the kids, because housewives are very common
True
No, the older generation has already largely dropped out, Japan's economy has been struggling for a long time, but they're figuring it out
There is literally no way the japs will ever let that happen

1 out of 5 is pretty shit m8, get your facts straight

Todays world isnt about forcing someone to do X, its about making doing X profitable and letting free market to solve the problem Y. There are lots of things a government can do to hinder movement from point B to point Z. From capitalist standpoint you can use taxation and legislation as a stick/carrot

...

Low birthrates are a fucking meme

The rest of the world is just using the immigration crutch, which can't work forever. Frankly, Japan is doing much better than most economists expected, and their strong focus on roboticization to solve their problems is going to be a great boon in the future

>the city doesnt have the infrastructure to support the population to a certain standard.
Which one?

>let's make the market inefficient for completely arbitrary preferences against urban living
woah what a viisionary

that's some funny shit

>their strong focus on roboticization to solve their problems
This. Once mass automation kicks in, the rest of the world will look like morons for importing a bunch of low skilled labor.

Why wouldnt it be? Self study time is very common at Japanese schools, so thats basically what the kids in that class do. Self study.

Even if half of the companies in the whole Kantou region would decide to move to the countryside, what would that actually achieve?
If they split out over all of Japan they'd be too thinned out to make an actual difference, and if they all flock to the same new place that new place could become a new region with population growth, but that wouldn't help the rest of the country at all. (And is ignoring the huge investment cost of all the needed infrastructure which is basically wasted for no real gain.)

Urban dwellers don't reproduce. Bad for GDP, in terms a retarded spergatarian can understand.

Wrong

Take it to /jp/, weeaboos.

I, too, hate threads that are this lacking in shitposts. Truly the worst kind of thread

...

It's not anime related, my good sir. as good as the thread is, it does not belong in here.

You're autistic

...

Here comes the shitposts.

You're so up your own ass that you think being told that a thread about 3D IRL shit and Japan's economy doesn't belong on Sup Forums is shitposting? You fags aren't even talking about anime or manga. Fuck off.

like basically everyone else said, normal in small rural areas
only happens with groundschools in my country, and most of them are getting shut down too

>inb4 pruned

How is this not just shitposting? Fuck off to /jp/

I thought you wanted shitposting ?

This thread is not bad, but the content is not really relate to Sup Forums. Sorry guys.

So why did you bump it?

Because is a good one.

Japan is overpopulated anyway. They literally cannot produce enough food to feed itself and needs to import most of it

we're not living in the middle ages anymore, japan can sell cars and buy food with the money, countries don't need to produce all their food nowadays
especially ones that are covered in mountains

>japan can sell cars and buy food with the money, countries don't need to produce all their food nowadays
w-what if all countries decide to do this at once?

China would still produce low grade poison food and sell it to everyone

idk, but we sell a lot of food to japan, and china

Shit nigger if i could speak nip i would go be a welder in nip land. Nips also make good welders.

>They literally cannot produce enough food to feed itself
While they certainly do not produce as much as the eat, that doesn't mean that they'd starve to death if imports weren't an option any longer.

look up
immi-moj.go.jp/newimmiact_3/en/index.html
study japanese for a year or two, it's not that hard

You won't have to worry about that because it's basically not possible.

Rice and other crops are protected by massive tariffs on imported food.
The Official Logic is that Japan must be self-sufficiently able to feed itself in time of war or whatever disaster.

Then the price of food would go up which would incentivize more people to produce food which would feed people and lower the price.
