These villains are such mustache-twirlers. I was hoping for them to be an internal threat not some generic evil country from "across the mountains". At least they are showing innovation with magical beasts, but I would have enjoyed it more if they had developed a way to "tame" the magic beasts and used them to fight the robot kingdom, as cliche as that is.

Based on what's mentioned, I think there's probably one of those crystal strands (that, as far as I can tell, operate like human muscle by contracting) on the inside of the weapon yanking the bowstring back between each shot. It's in essence sticking an arm inside your weapon to preform the reload action for you, and because it's a super strong artificial arm it can do this quickly, even with a high draw-strength bow.
