if she convinces mion to blow me at least once, sure.

Should I read the novel or watch the anime? The VN looks too long, is it worth it?

SUKI SUKI

is satako really colorbind or not

No voices no deal. Just watch the anime but for Umineko read the VN.

Yes, read the VN, for extra comfiness, take the patched font and music version.

You mean Shion

That's immoral. Mion is for mating press only.

Anime, then VN. You'll notice difference things that the anime skipped but the anime is still fine. VN is like a full package.

Read the VN. The anime adaption is just far worse.

There is a complete version with voices and new art though

The VN is absolutely worth it and the only way. Its a slow start but the payoff is x10.

I would recommend Sui for Ps3/vita if you can read moon. Has anyone patched Sui voices for download yet? If not just wait for it to inevitably happen.

VN if you want to actually care about the characters and have a sense of fulfillment at the end. Anime if you want gore.

I never found the one with voices.

the manga is better than both of those, the animes animation sucks, the VNs sprites can suck unless you get a certain version and if you do get one of those versions it has no voice acting or CGs, just read the manga, it is illustrated well and leaves less to the imagination.

Did Satoko have an ohoho desuwa demeanor in the original VN or was it something they added in the anime? Not sure if it just got lost in the translation, but I was totally surprised when she acted like that in the anime.

whatever gets my dick in her.

She was always like that in the Japanese text. It was just lost in translation.

The Steam version has voice acting, CGs, and decent sprites with the PS3 patch.

youtube.com/watch?v=slnvTv1edmk

the steam sprites are ugly

yep, she's like that right at the beginning of the VN. Its her most charming point but I have a soft spot for that kind of speaking manner.

I'll gladly be her Nii Nii!!

Thankfully the PS3 patch replaces those with decent sprites.

but she's annoying

She's one of those characters that I hated at first but came to love by the end

ゴメンナサイ ゴメンナサイ ゴメンナサイ ゴメンナサイ ゴメンナサイ ゴメンナサイ
ゴメンナサイ ゴメンナサイ ゴメンナサイ

No but I'll gladly show her my pee pee.

Why was she apologizing to a curtain?

that looks like a fat longer haired teppei

Boring character. Also no, I'm the youngest in my family and nobody is going to get in my way to remain as the youngest.
VN is indeed quite long but worth it, anime is fine, manga is better.

Don't listen to this guy The anime cuts out a lot of what makes Higurashi good. Practically all of the slice of life is skimmed over, a lot of the foreshadowing and details that put the mystery together are missing, and the horror moments aren't as impactful as they are in the VN.
The only thing the anime does right is the characters look cuter in the anime when the QUALITY doesn't get in the way.

Not that user, but the anime is completely enjoyable, and a more easy and quickly way to judge the series for someone who is not very interested or new to Ryukishi. If user enjoys the anime, then they can go for the VN afters, or the manga no problem. It's almost like a new experience.

Aaaaaaaaaannnnd dead

Nope.

You are an user of good taste

I don't think the anime's that bad, but going from the anime to the VN feels like it would cheapen the experience. Once you know what the mystery is, then reading/watching it again isn't going to be as great as it was the first time around since you already know how everything works.
It'd be better to experience it the first time with the VN, since it does a much better job at immersing you in the story and making you care about the characters.

She's a cunt

I saw the anime first and yet I found the VN enjoyable, a bit slow, but well done. I think if it wasn't for the anime I would have never invested fifty or so hours of my time in a VN to begin with, instead of reading a book for example.
I suppose it depends of the person, but for me knowing the key plot points of the story wasn't a problem, since I already liked the characters a lot and the story is interesting enough to give it another try.
Anyway, it's the decision of user.

Fuck I know where that pic is from.

VN still worth playing after watching the anime and knowing the mystery?

I've never wanted to protect a character more than I wanted to protect Satoko. So yes

If you only watched the anime, then you don't know the intricacies of the mystery (or the solution) as well as you think.

Did she got raped in Tatarigoroshi?

Yes, I'm taking her home.

Fuck marry kill

Fuck saturated blonde and saturated blue. Marry Hanyuu. Kill (you).

Fuck Mion
Marry Mion
Kill self because Mion isn't real

>VN has no voice acting
>choose the manga

nigga what, you contradicted yourself in the same sentence

Fuck Satoko
Befriend Rena
Gently Bully Mion
Kill Takano, Teacher

Marry Rika, the cutest one in the franchise

because you'd be reading while listening to back ground music instead of reading and seeing full illustrations of everything thats happening, the vn offers no extra value.

The VN is far more introspective than the manga, however. You get more insight into the character through words rather than the visuals.

Not everyone is visually oriented. Some people connect better to words.

Where is Bernkastel thread?

Go party with Mion, hug Rika, ignore Takano.
Lol, you're funny.
It doesn't exist, just like witches.
