Would you befriend a retarded girl?

Would you befriend a retarded girl?

No??

Yes.

DUDDURUU :DD

Did you even watch the series! She's not retarded, the fact is that her timeline isn't properly aligned with everyone else's, thus rendering her disoriented by about ~2 months.

Has a cute eyebrows and big tits. Better retard than Christina.

TOO

Mayuuri is just detached from reality (figuratively). When its really important and she actually pays attention she's really insightful. She's excellent at reading emotions and people. She spots Okabe's distress 100% of the time even when he tries to hide it, or when he was acting normally only a short while before because he hadn't time leaped back to that moment. She's the only person able to work out that Daru is Suzuha's father and is able to drive others to better themselves through only positive encouragement.

She's certainly not the sharpest tool in the shed, but she's retarded by no means. She also recognizes her own boundaries and doesn't purport to understand anything she can't wrap her head around, which is better than most people.

Nobody in Steins;Gate is autistic or retarded. Mostly, they're just traumatized as all hell and their coping mechanisms bear a surface resemblance to autistic behavior.

Except Daru. Daru's just an aspie.

It's ironic that Suzuha who faced more trauma and terrible events in her life than anyone other than Okabe is also the most normal of everyone.

No. But I would happily stick my dick inside her and make her cry out "TUTTURU...!" as she cums.

Yes, I have. She became a life long friend and was into the same shit I was.

Yes. I love her the most.

Not that one.

>girl

on a scale from 1 to Sup Forums, how retarded are we talking?

Yes

Nope, just impregnate her and switch timelines.

>Mostly, they're just traumatized as all hell and their coping mechanisms bear a surface resemblance to autistic behavior.
Hououin is more autistic in his natural state than when he's traumatized.

>impregnate her and switch timelines
Having sex is well and good but why specify impregnating her if you immediately undo it?

That "autism" is a coping mechanism to keep Mayuri around because he's afraid of losing her. He's traumatized as a base state in Steins;Gate, S;G0 just cranks it up to max.

Sexualizing Mayuri is unacceptable. She is too pure.

In order to do it again!

He'd have to be pretty autistic to not realize she'd stick around without him acting like that. Maybe he started the character for her sake but at the start of the series it's just the way he is.

Way to go Tyrone

...

At the "current day" he realizes he can give it up, but it's fun and it cheers up the people around him so he doesn't mind playing the jester.

>but it's fun
choosing how to act because it's your preference doesn't make the way you act any less who you are. autism isn't always about inability to grasp social norms, it can also just be not caring about them the same way as a normal person does

She had to. She grew up during a time of war and uncertainty.

>autism isn't always about inability to grasp social norms, it can also just be not caring about them the same way as a normal person does
That, uh.. flatly is not true. Please do not make light of mental disorders like that. Indifference does not indicate autism so much as a general willingness to sacrifice self-respect and as such is simply a potential frame of willfully selected behavior.

>Indifference does not indicate autism so much as a general willingness to sacrifice self-respect
>I think that trying to shoehorn my value judgments on respectability into this definition is somehow a meaningful distinction
You're just demonstrating you can't handle the idea of people not caring about the things you care about, not making a real point.

>Please do not make light of mental disorders like that.

lol

Perhaps I worded that too strongly, meant it more like a "you're wrong so stop being wrong" kinda banter.

>You're just demonstrating you can't handle the idea of people not caring about the things you care about, not making a real point.
Literally what? I'm saying if you fully understand and internalize social norms then willfully eschew them, you're not autistic, you're just making an informed decision to be an oddball.

An autistic person can be fully aware that society looks down on neckbeards then decide they don't really give a shit what society thinks and they care more about avoiding the effort of maintaining a socially acceptable appearance than fitting in. In such a case the relevance of autism is abnormality in what they value, not some kind of inability to comprehend that they're violating a social expectation.

>befriend
If she hot enough I 'd hold her hand then I totally hug her

A non-autistic person can do that too. That situation is applicable to anyone with the ability to make sapient decisions. As said, it doesn't indicate autism.

I don't see why not.

I didn't say it implied autism. But having awareness that's he's being weird isn't some kind of proof that okabe is neurotypical. You made it sound like autists have to have some kind of mental block that renders them completely incapable of self awareness.
