Welcome to the Mars Independent General. This thread is dedicated to the discussion of creating a European Colony on Mars, not by direct funding, but through the commercial emigration scheme that will eventually come into play. This is real. This is going to happen. We need you to consider the choice. Mars Aeternum.
The first Mars Colony is predicted to be established as early as 7 years from now. Very quickly the colony is going to expand, and Elon Musk has made it clear that commercial emigration will come in to play only a few years later. This means the first large influx of settlers over the next 50 years are going to be families who sell their properties on Earth for the ticket. Only people who can afford to move there will be able to. lets face it - a majority european colony on mars is the only way to truly secure the 14 words. >Plan: /mig/ is a new general and a work in progress. feel free to contribute ideas. Essentially, once the colonisation effort becomes commercial, we need to move there.
/mig/ >inb4 space is fake kys >inb4 muh economics kys >inb4 STOP LARPING the short term goal of this general is to simply re-inspire our fellow Nationalists, Fascists & Racialists on the subject of space exploration & colonisation. We hope to promote a new positive attitude towards life on Mars amongst those who value the future of the European peoples. ./The general will be posted a few times a week or a few times a day.
This is definitely not about abandoning the problems we have here on Earth, we believe that the European peoples are not only strong enough to overcome those problems, but are able to dedicate themselves on multiple fronts, Mars is that other front.

>"Hey! how about you start smaller by colonizing Antarctica!" Antarctica is a less hospitable climate than Mars, and much less hospitable than an orbital colony. The huge enduring problem with living in Antarctica is the pervasive cold. It's hard to keep warm, when the thick atmosphere is constantly robbing you of heat. The fact that you spend six months at a time in the darkness of night doesn't exactly help either. A Martian colony has to deal with a much thinner atmosphere and consequently much less thermal insulation is required. An orbital colony doesn't even have to deal with that.

a few interesting words in regards to business opportunities on Mars >Water Purification/Production Besides oxygen, of course, the only thing that will be more important on Mars than food will be clean drinking water. Scientists believe that there is water on Mars; however, they are not sure if it’s drinkable. Consequently, if there is water on Mars, someone will need to purify and make it suitable for consumption. If there is no water on Mars, then some really smart people will figure out a cost-effective way to produce H2O from hydrogen and oxygen. Either way, water will be big business on Mars. >Hospitality and Entertainment Nobody likes to eat or stay at home all the time, so there will be a need for entertainment, hotels, and restaurants of all kinds. If tourism to Mars ever becomes popular (and I think it will,) the need for hospitality and entertainment providers will be huge. As with all other things on Mars, eating out or taking a vacation will probably be expensive. Therefore, for those savvy chefs, hoteliers, and producers that get in on the ground floor, there will absolutely be plenty of money to be made in these industries. >Construction/Infrastructure Depending on the environmental concerns and requirements settlers face when they arrive on Mars, it’s hard to tell how construction and infrastructure will need to be approached. One this is certain, though, and that is people will need places to live and work as well as other necessities such as bridges, walkways, and streets (or something similar to streets.)
In the beginning, governments or authorities may handle initial construction projects. Still, I don’t think it will be long thereafter that the private sector will be doing most of the building. Building homes, condos and whatever else on Mars will be expensive and possibly dangerous. Therefore, expect contractors — big and small — to earn good livings in this field.
Landon Morris
>another cut from a different article there are many potential near-term business opportunities connected with human missions to Mars with significant potential markets for the associated technologies and capabilities required for creating a sustainable human presence on the surface of Mars. These include innovations in life support, agriculture, radiation shielding, energy, on-site resource utilization (aka living off the land), filtration, and many other necessary technologies and capabilities. Many of these technologies would not require the massive level of investment for development that large mission elements like heavy-lift rockets, crew vehicles, propulsion, and habitats require. With the proper stimulus and the necessary entrepreneurial innovators, these technologies could be developed in a competitive manner, and they also likely will have application to improving life on Earth and therefore also have a significant market on Earth—thus making them particularly attractive to entrepreneurs, small businesses, and others.
>more Whether humans reach Mars through a government effort, a commercial model, or a combination of the two, there are remarkable opportunities that will accompany that journey. These opportunities are not only for discovery but also for innovators, entrepreneurs, and others to create new or better products that contribute to the sustainability of humans on Mars and also benefit people on the planet Earth.

>more While cosmonauts and astronauts are learning valuable spacefaring skills on the International Space Station — and the U.S. is using virtual reality to train scientists — the majority of work to prepare for interplanetary expeditions is being done on Earth...and where best to field-test equipment and people for the journey to Mars but on some of the planet's most forbidding spots. Seen from space, the Dhofar Desert is a flat, brown expanse. Few animals or plants survive in the desert expanses of the Arabian Peninsula, where temperatures can top 125 degrees Fahrenheit, or 51 degrees Celsius. On the eastern edge of a seemingly endless dune is the Oman Mars Base: a giant 2.4-ton inflated habitat surrounded by shipping containers turned into labs and crew quarters. There are no airlocks. The desert's surface resembles Mars so much, it's hard to tell the difference, the types of geomorphology, all the structures, the salt domes, the riverbeds, the wadis, it parallels a lot of what we see on Mars.
Scientists from across the world sent ideas for experiments such as testing a new spacesuit called Aouda, the cutting-edge spacesuit, weighing about 50 kilograms (110 pounds), is called a "personal spaceship" because one can breathe, eat and do hard science inside it. The suit's visor displays maps, communications and sensor data. A blue piece of foam in front of the chin can be used to wipe your nose and mouth. >Something to consider, for your or your children's future there will be a huge demand for engineers, medical experts, management "officers" and any sort of cross between those and other fields. So people with that kind of background could secure themselves a bright future on Mars.

>There are signs of liquid water on Mars. For years Mars has been known to have water in the form of ice. The first signs of trickling water are dark stripes or stains on crater wall and cliffs seen in satellite images. Due to Mars’ atmosphere this water would have to be salty to prevent it from freezing or vaporising.

>interesting read French 3D-printing company Fabulous has brought together a team of scientists and architects to imagine a bubble-shaped habitat for Mars that can be printed on the red planet. The Sfero house features an internal and external dome, with a protective pocket of water between the two. A single corridor rests on the planet's surface and allows access to the interior, which would have an upper and lower level linked by a spiral staircase. The house would start off as a central drilling rod that burrows several metres into the planet's soil to extend two robotic arms, which would harvest materials to be used for 3D-printing the habitat's internal and external dome-shaped shells. The spherical shape has been designed to offer high resistance to Mars' low atmospheric density. The design aims to use the red planet's abundance of iron oxide – discovered in dust samples and rocks brought back by NASA's Pathfinder rovers – which would form the raw material for 3D printing. The powdered iron particles would then be fused together by laser, and the levels of the habitat printed layer by layer. The arms would also seek out permafrost – soil that has been at or below freezing for at least two years – to be melted and used as a 30-centimetre-wide water pocket in between the two shells to protect against solar radiation. Fabulous founder Arnault Coulet believes the water layer could be a "permanent psychological reminder of the main element of the mother planet – water constituting a sort of protective amniotic fluid for humans."
Sebastian Scott
funnily enough, the first cargo ships in a couple years will be carrying everything needed to set up different factories (propellent plants, iron forges etc)

>a majority european colony on mars is the only way to truly secure the 14 words You are genuinely retarded if you think there are enough intelligent altright idiots to quality for space travel.
Ryder Gomez
>im retarded >he didnt read the OP *sigh* ......
>the short term goal of this general is to simply re-inspire our fellow Nationalists, Fascists & Racialists on the subject of space exploration & colonisation. We hope to promote a new positive attitude towards life on Mars amongst those who value the future of the European peoples. and >through the commercial emigration scheme that will eventually come into play
Jayden Davis
Hey OP how’s it going in Britain? Also I’m changing my trip to MIU now.
Landon Hughes
Oh I read it. I don't think you read my post. There will never be enough intelligent altreich faggots because you are, by definition, fucking retarded. A couple of you might slip through the cracks and pass enough tests to technically be a scientist, but those are few and far between. Do you really think they'll let just anyone sign up? Do you really think a liberal like Musk, or anyone at NASA (gee why are all the space agencies so liberal?) would ever do anything but laugh and spit in your face?
Joseph Ramirez
When we get there in Mars. Is our high culture classification Faustian, or Apollonic?
Oliver Gomez
Same old. I live in london so I dont head out too much (for obvious reasons lol) hows burgerland ?
Jaxson Kelly
........... Ok... I'm going to paste it again and maybe you'll actually read it this time. >through the commercial emigration scheme that will eventually come into play
Jaxson Reed
I live in the southwest of burgerland. ALL SPICS man I went to the RGV (southern tip of Texas) they are all spics britbro! Also they are very fucking loud too.
I digress do you agree we should be Faustian, or apollonic in our colony?
Owen Stewart
im not entirely sure what these words mean. explain pls ?
Luke Martin
>through the commercial emigration scheme that will eventually come into play Ohhhh I see so they'll just let people in without any kind of background check, or if they do check they'll be all "fuck yeah lets put some Nazis on Mars!"
You are deluded. Fuck off.
Asher Johnson
This is the stupidest shit ive ever heard.
First of all, those in power will never allow there to be a pure white colony on Mars. Period.
Second, we should focus on taking our OWN countries on this fucking planet back, not waiting for Elon Musk to somehow make this happen AND for some reason go full white nationalist.
Jeremiah Sullivan
Faustian is the high culture in the west that derives from France, Spain, Germany, and Britain Occidental.
Apollonius is a Hellenic-Roman culture. This you can read from Decline of the West by Oswald Spengler.
Dylan Myers
How do we keep shitskins out?
Asher Martinez
OP don’t give these fucktards attention let’s ignore these idiots.
Jeremiah Thompson
Faustian, because we will still be in cultural decline even if we manage to pull off some tricks in space.
Dominic Nelson

Those rockets would wreck the shit out of that colony every time they take off or land.

>those in power will never allow there to be a pure white colony on mars. period the first large influx of settlers over the next 50 years are going to be families who sell their properties on Earth for the ticket. Only people who can afford to move there will be able to. There There will be no diversity plan. Find me one hint of info that suggests there will be other than "herp derp LETS SEND SOMALIS TO SPACE for no reason" and >we should focus on taking our own countries on this fucking planet back This is definitely not about abandoning the problems we have here on Earth, we believe that the European peoples are not only strong enough to overcome those problems, but are able to dedicate themselves on multiple fronts, Mars is that other front.
Landon Miller
I know right ? I thought the same thing.... maybe its a design fault in the drawing ....seems like a pretty obvious one though. Maybe because of the low grav the rockets obviously need less thrust to take off, meaning there is less harm being closer to the launch pads ?
Colton King
>There will be no diversity plan. Oh wow you can see the future now? And there will DEFINITELY not be ANY impetus to send ANY people of ANY color other than pure white to space? Tell me more!!
Christopher Walker
Yes like OP here said everyone. We will use settlers as well as subversion tactics against (((them))) and we will be victorious. We just need dedication, a great optimistic outlook and /our plants/ in SPACEX.
Nathan Wright
haha.... sounds like someone is a little scared.
Jaxon Walker
There's no need to actively work to create an ethnostate colony on Mars. Just build a colony and it will naturally be 99% white.
What dindu would want to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to go to a place where there's no government to leach off of?
The impulse to travel to faraway lands and forge a new society in the face of personal hardship and danger is exclusively a white cultural phenomenon.
Mason Russell
Jesus christ this is the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard.
Things you need for a mars colony: 1. Money 2. Willpower of a large, educated population to support your bid, even though they'll unlikely move to Mars themselves 3. More money 4. Mentally stable individuals who are happy to never see the Sun or a ceiling higher than 4m outside of an environmental suit ever again. N.B. this might not even be possible 5. Seriously, more fucking money, like not talking NEETbux here, we're talking hundreds of billions of dollars with zero actual return on investment, so noone will fund you in a million years.
Antarctica is also crazy, but significantly less so Things that won't fuck you in antarctica: 1. lack of air 2. lack of water 3. getting fucked by cosmic rays 4. having to fly people and supplies halfway across the solar system. 5. Everyone dying because a carbon monoxide alarm malfunctioned & it didn't get fixed (or a million other similar little shits)
Logan Hughes
>fucking off from earth instead of taking it back
Kevin Foster
I know seems like shills are ruffling their feathers at the sight of this. Also this shill uses normie memes and say that we are all nazis.
Leo Adams
Friendly reminder that living your entire life on 1/3 Earth gravity is going to permanently fuck up your skeletal system and leave you a weak, pudgy manlet who would die upon traveling back to Earth.
Juan Johnson
Nobody is scared of you, and nobody ever will be. Are you really mistaking hatred for fear?
We hate you. We all hate you. The vast, vast majority of every human on earth fucking hates you. Why can't you understand that?
Lincoln Lopez
>implying (((they))))) are going to spend half a million on tickets to give to niggers who dont even really give a fuck about Mars just because ((((they))))) spend £30 on boating equipment to give to niggers who want to get to europe lmao... yeah... Ok.
Matthew Williams
The reason why I absolutely loathe the thought of this colonization is because I know only the top percentile of elites will be allowed on there and my generation will be stuck on an earth that has been ruined because of mass importation of third worlders
Ryan Turner
I pity brainlets like you. At least you'll never have offspring to pass your abysmal ideas on to. Or maybe you're still only 15 and you'll grow out of it soon.
Christopher Butler
The solution to the muh no atmosphere 'argument' is building a dome around the population centre and building the dwelling underneath the substrate
Joseph Reed
(((We))) Hahahahha typical lefty buzzword >we all hate you No you are just scared and you know it :^)
Christopher Kelly
>european martian colony >it's full of shitskins Sounds worse than earth.
Nolan Russell
tick tock tick tock tick tock You want to talk about the situation on Earth for a second ??? you really want to have this conversation lol ??? Get this, I know girls. 16 year old girls that would happily pick up arms and fight a race war. You know that right ? You know there is a right-wing youth movement in the pipeline that IS going to put the system under siege. what are you going to do to stop us ? Nothing. >nobody is scared of you You should be, because we are coming.
Caleb Baker
it's a woman typing that, you can tell by the word choice and the social based shaming

I can see that. They should never put a woman to do a mans job though they fuck up everything. ;)

>the short term goal of this general is to simply re-inspire our fellow Nationalists, Fascists & Racialists on the subject of space exploration & colonisation. We hope to promote a new positive attitude towards life on Mars amongst those who value the future of the European peoples.
It has been suggested by several people that exercise and weightlifting would counter the effects... but ultimately the people who call Mars their home will have to deal with the effects. Science will help us, we wont know till we go.
>the most ridiculous thing i've heard yeah its happening though, so i'm not sure what you want me to say ?
yeah, i think everyone knows by now its going to be an inside/subterranean colony. pic related

That's a pretty female response.
Matthew Reed
Here's the flag of our Free Mars Republic
Liam Morgan
>implying niggers would afford to go to another planet.

You know the rules roastie. Tits or GTFO

Actually OP made a flag 2 previous threads ago.
Jaxson Morris
ew pls no. If any user wants to make something similar to this.... that would be largely appreciated

>yeah its happening though I mean, it's not though is it?
Nobody's funding you, you don't have any sort of plan for actual long term colonisation beyond 'We'll go up there and we'll be super white i guess, go us!', fucking hell it doesn't even seem like you have a basic understanding of biology and physics.
Fuck me, the way you're all sperging out because somebody said THERE MIGHT BE A GIRL IN HERE tells me you'll have basically zero chance of convincing anyone but sweaty neckbeards to get on a spaceship with you.
Lincoln Ward
Going back simple vexillology, if OP's flag is anything like in theory then it is shit.
Flags like are superior because they keep to the rules of vexillology with regards to what makes a flag good or bad.
Shh, just relax. You're learning things.
Colton Baker
Lunar Base Alpha should be announced really soon. It will be on the darkside of the moon so we can run further isolation tests on astronauts to prepare for the psychological effects of living on Mars.
Dylan Gray
could be worse.
Caleb Bailey
>nobodys funding you
jesus fucking christ im getting pissed off with people not reading OP just fuckk off if you're not even going to read the first few sentences lol > not by direct funding, but through the commercial emigration scheme that will eventually come into play
Zachary Anderson
user, I thought this would be a good idea for a while but then I realized that they would not allow for a pure white colony on mars. Better of to wait until you can colonize Titan or one of Jupiter's other moons so that you can hide out on there. The eyes of the world will be on Mars.
Nolan Nelson
design-wise that's actually still better than his idea
Alexander Brooks
>sweaty neck beards This fucking word I keep hearing all the time. Typical shill
Juan Scott
Indeed, as I mentioned in the previous thread, the advantages of the Melas Chasm would be it has the highest natural air pressure on Mars, making the environment slightly less taxing compared to other regions, coupled with the benefits of equatorial solar heat and potential access to water nearby or beneath the surface, as geographic data indicates it used to be a lake
Lincoln Lee
Alright I'll bite since I have some engineering background. You say "Lets ignore economics." Alright. You say lets look at the "Short term goal." Fine.
The short term goal is a big stretch given if you ignore the function of being an independent state away from all function of government focus, which Elon Musk whole idea has a problem to be from the start as well too. You still need to rely on a mother country since you're still signifying yourself as a "Colony" within your OP.
To my first statement I feel there will be a heavy influence of Asian people and other Indian variant given what Elon Musk works with as well of how Space X works. They most likely will wish to hire people who will want to hire people who are engineers or scientist to help push for this colony. I feel that will be the majority of the people there. Which will be of course a diverse amount of people not just a white state.
Easton Rogers
Ok there seems to be a big misunderstanding with what is being suggested here, when the colonisation effort becomes commercial.... LETS SAY, 100 white families just happen to buy tickets for a flight, nobody is going to say no. Do you understand ? They bought tickets, The colony needs people. Nobody is going to say "wew where are all the africans" ... these tickets are going to cost the price of an upper-class house in America, guess what - niggers will not be able to afford the ticket.
Chase Walker
>commercial emigration scheme Yeah, you're retarded if you think Ol' Musky is just going to happily land you in a different part of Mars to all the brown people for free.
There's no such thing as a free ride & even just setting the location for a different colony is going to be expensive as all fuck.
and do you really think Musk wants the bad PR of pandering to literal space fascists when you start recruiting for your colony with NO BROWN PEOPLE ALLOWED on the front door?
KYS faggot, if you want to actually do the ethnostate thing, start something in Antarctica or make an enclave on some island somewhere
Christopher Smith
>pandering to literal fascists We will use subversion tactics stupid. We don’t automatically say our political ideology we lie to them dumbfuck. How do you think (((they))) infiltrated our society.
Nathaniel James
There will be a lot of whoever can afford It. Forget about race for a second. I understand why everyone comes into the thread and freaks out over "B-B-UT MUH DIVERSITY GUYZ, MUH DIVERSITY" but this isn't sticking africans in a fucking boat for the cost of £10.
The aim of the general is exactly what I said in OP, to inspire those on Sup Forums who seem to think space is a waste of time (clearly from the response tonights thread has gotten, there are a lot)
Asher Cooper
wow
you cant
type normally ?
why
are you

so
much ?
>Yeah, you're retarded if you think Ol' Musky is just going to happily land you in a different part of Mars to all the brown people for free. what brown people ? they wont be able to afford it. >There's no such thing as a free ride & even just setting the location for a different colony is going to be expensive as all fuck. exactly >and do you really think Musk wants the bad PR of pandering to literal space fascists when you start recruiting for your colony with NO BROWN PEOPLE ALLOWED on the front door? who said anything about shouting and hollering our ideology when we are buying our tickets ? we will use subversive tactics all the way. >KYS faggot, if you want to actually do the ethnostate thing, start something in Antarctica or make an enclave on some island somewhere lol kys
Benjamin Thomas
And making your white ethno state, least for now, will be a net negative for Elon Musk, unless you can turn the hearts and minds of everyone in the world onto the idea that it's a financially "Good" idea. With "Whites" becoming the minority more and more. I'm sure that is soon more and more not being the case.
Business wise this would not make sense for anyone to invest in your idea.
Landon Wright
>this would not make sense for anyone to invest in your idea. ............... see OP >not by direct funding
Nicholas Wood
Yeah stop larping.
Ryder Cooper
>the short term goal of this general is to simply re-inspire our fellow Nationalists, Fascists & Racialists

Jose Morales
Mars isn't far enough from niggers and Jews. Let's consider Neptune, maybe Pluto
Charles Clark
OP is not even LARPing shit for brains. God almighty new people to this general are always fucking stupid and don’t read the OP.
