Cult classic manga?

What manga series can be the equivalent of "cult classic" movies?

They don't have to be good, just to have that certaint spice.

Everything that Taiyo Matsumoto writes.

Bleach.

Kuso Miso Technique.

Anything by Dowman Sayman.

The World Is Mine.

Anything made by Urasawa Naoki

>finished 3 years ago
>classic

How stupid are you exactly?

BLAME! easily

Ichigo 100%. It was the harem of that time.

Onani Master Kurosawa

Nisekoi

Kami no Shizuku, by Shin Kibayashi and Shuu Okimoto

>Kuso Miso Technique.
yeah

Phoenix, Buddha and Adolf ni Tsugu.

Devilman easily. Its a cult classic and a masterpiece. One of the only manga that gets sold in the book section instead of the comics one.

Good choices itt. I think most not well known but very good mangos could be considered cult classics, but the cult movies, as the name implies, generally are liked only by a certain group of people, while, for manga, the people that get to read underrated works tend to always like them, I can't explain it well, but there's no sense of identity, something like this.

This image is lovely. YKK is lovely.

user, a lot of Urasawa's works are mainstream hits. 20CB sold like 40M copies.

Also a massive mainstream hit. If this is a cult classic then you might as well call Naruto a cult classic in the making.

Akumetsu

I guess something like Franken Fran fits.

Hokuto No Ken. and it's still popular to this very day.

Its old, controversial and weird, and in the west it has a rather small fanbase. Also, what qualifies as a cult film or classic is not as strictly defined anyway.

Anything by Waita Uziga

Berserk and JoJo prolly

>Berserk
this

YKK is the definition of comfy.

Fourteen, though i guess all Kazuo Umezu manga may classify.

Punpun

Riki Oh, of course.

The Voynich Hotel is the pinnacle of cult hit.

If it got an adaption, I would sacrifice my dog to the old ones.

Dorohedoro

A lot of the shit posted in this thread is way too mainstream and popular to be a "cult classic" by the way. Calling Berserk one is like calling Breaking Bad one or some shit.

It had mainstream success, therefore not a cult hit.
