IQ measures very specific types of tasks one uses to learn, understand, and manipulate the world around you.
Pattern recognition, ability to learn new information and apply it, 3D spacial awareness, logic, simple math, verbal comprehension, memory, and it also measures how fast you reach solutions.
It's not a measurement of intelligence or knowledge, since the only requirement of it is a rudimentary understanding of ONE language (children as young as 5 can take an IQ test.)
