It's hard to get a voice cast like that these days. Even if I wasn't interested at all in Persona, as a huge seiyuufag I would still watch it.
I would have rather played the game first (enjoying it along Persona Stalker Club), but not having a console sucks.

It's the combination of dungeon-crawling and "life sim" elements that people cream their pants over. As individual halves, both parts are mediocre (the combat is nothing special and the life sim elements are boring and haven't been improved upon since P3). It's just that it was more accessible for normalfags than mainline SMT was.

Persona 4 and the movie recap as well as Persona 3 the first 2 movies were done by a different company. Persona 4 Golden animation and the 3rd Persona 3 movie were done by A-1, who are now working on P5 the animation.

Eh I'll have hope Golden was mostly garbage, because of all the fucking poochie shilling, but the episodes were she wasn't the focus of or even in like the christmas episode and adachi episode were fun/decent.

I found the protagonist pretty boring if anything.
In the game he was suppose to be a "insert yourself" sort of character, and that didn't really translate well with the anime.
It was just sort of dull, and boring.

Well a fun character can make a shitty series watchable or even fun, so a shitty anime with a fun protagonist can make it a fun watch at the very least.
That shouldn't be too hard considering some of jokers dialogue choices.
Worst case scenario they will do to him what they did to poor bunny.
