I think its time that we take a closer look at China instead of talking about mexicans and arabs as the threat to western society.

China will not become a global superpower. It will however be a local power, which is a good thing.

China is state socialist (which most people in the west refer to as communist) but makes shitloads of concessions on their ideology whenever they feel like they need to. They have special zones where capitalism is allowed, and they've scaled back on government control of the economy, but those are the exceptions, not the rule.

China is resource poor. Massive food (US and others), coal (australia) and iron ore imports. Small amount of arable land. That is their big challenge and why the new silk road.
Trump is 100% right, the US is stupid for having zero tariffs on chinese steel. The EU has 20%+ tariffs on chinese steel because they subsidize it. Neocons are accusing trump of trying to start a trade war when trying to bring our tariffs up to EU's level.
