MC is weaker than the rest of his party

>MC is weaker than the rest of his party

That's actually a good trope.

yeah it is

>his trump card is the most broken thing in the universe

>MC supposedly did some cool shit back in the day in another region, but is now hanging around as a foreigner doing gruntwork for a party of legendary dudes each of which have over 300 confirmed kills
>finally shows his powerlevel at the end and destroys the big bad like it's fucking nothing

So what

too intelligent to be strong or do anything at all

NOW HANG ON JUST A MINUTE

>weakest character in the party is also the strongest

INFERNO

DIVIDER

Except most of the time he has a super secret trump card that's horribly overpowered.

If only writers wouldn't take the bullshit way out most of the time.

In which case the trope doesn't apply.

JoanxRuby

enough of your bullshit.

It's fine as long as they don't skip leg day.

>MC is onii-sama

>Shounen MC is generally fun and goofy all the time
>If you cross the line, his eyes disappear behind his fringe and he becomes super serious

Name 5 things that have done this.

Half the time it comes with a massive drawback, the other half it means the trope doesn't apply.

>main character is the weakest in the party
>rival is second weakest
>comic relief character is the strongest

Thunderbolt fantasy to an extent is the only one I can think of

this

In terms of strength it's Ikki > Shiryu > Seiya = Hyoga > Shun

There are a couple of instances where Seiya jobbed to an enemy and Shiryu won. Even after revealing his powerlevel Shun continued jobbing and had to be rescued by Ikki.

He's a shit pilot and have to be protected by C.C. and Kallen.

yea but dat boi haz them gay ass eye shiet

This trope is actually good.

>MC doesn't have a power and just uses pure bullshit.

>implying this is a bad thing
Low iq self inserters

And when it comes to secret trump cards. There is usually minimal drawbacks for using that

OH MY RUBBER NEN
OH MY FUKOU DA
OH MY LESSENING LIFE SPAN (that somehow never runs out)

>comic relief character is the strongest
>mascot character is the strongest
Why do I love this shonenshit stuff so muhc?

I don't really get why seemingly everybody (authors, readers, etc.) are so hung up about this whole stronger/weaker stuff? It only kills the natural flow. I mean, in reality, even if you win one fight against Mr. A, you might as well lose the next one. It's all just big crap.

>MC is weaker than the rest of his party
>always defeating the main villains
Every fucking time

But he is the strongest man in the world

Regios had the same.

Rwby faggots GtFO

>MC is weaker than the rest of his party
>he has to kill his party to gain their power and thus beat the bad guys

I fucking know that and the edge of that manga is off charts.

The only thing Jaune should be paired with is an axe to the face. That stupid self insert nigger deserves death and nothing else.

> I have to get stronger.
Never works out.
