I like how Akitsu is set up to be one of the mc's Sekirei in chapter 3, but that was completely abandoned because the mangaka got bored of the series and rushed it to a shitty conclusion. Then a few years later when all her other series are flopping she starts putting out new Sekirei chapters. Fuck this mangaka.

I pray we get a continuation of more Sekirei and S3 or OVA series in the near future

This series seemed to me like the author decided he wanted to make a series where hot bitches have superpowered fights and had no ideas at all beyond that so he just handwaved everything past that basic concept.

I finished reading the series recently and completely forgot what the Sekirei plan was about already.
The beginning of the manga made it sound like it was something grandiose with all the dialogue about ascending to the heavens and what-not.

Nah, standard 10-11 chapters plus some side stuff. Basically they are the jap volume releases.
