Because Sup Forums has bad taste. Deen made Maison Ikkoku and Konosuba. Thats better shows than the vast majorities of studios managed to create. Looking at you, ufotable.

Every VN adaptation they do is a rush job and full of QUALITY and dropping a lot of information. This isn't a DEEN exclusive problem, as pretty much every VN adaptation has this problem too.

Konosuba S1 is lightning in a bottle, S2 is returning to the Deen way.

Hey, Studio Deen QUALITY is still an improvement.

Nothing wrong with the original Higurashi sprites other than them being too big.

Nah the shit main adaption is worth it for Kira and Rei.

There is no reason to give a fuck about Higurashi other than original and Kai.

If you like the main series you should like the characters, and have fun with a little extra comedic short stories. Unless you watched the anime and soulessly only like it for the gore.

Saikoroshi-hen is an excellent conculsion to the the story as well, Rika confronts her sins and chooses to not forsake the path she took. Kira episode 4 Rika went through something similar as well, that was a damn good episode.

Its actually pretty funny that I prefer story driven shows without a lot of action and Rakugo managed to make me fall asleep. No idea what people see in that show, but I had a very hard time forcing myself through it. That was not the problem with LotGH, Hyouge Mono, Crest/Banner of the Stars, House of Five leaves or other similar shows. Doesnt really speak for the show in my book.

I watched the anime when it was airing but recently went through the VN and didn't really feel like there should be more story.

I like it because I really love Rakugo itself.

Watch or read Saikoroshi-hen in Rei.
It's very serious and it's nice and thought provoking if you appreciate Rika's character.

I did want to read that for the Bernkastel stuff.

You should. The Bernkastel stuff will confuse you more than ever though, if you try to logically connect it to seacats.
The anime doesn't cut out much, they actually did pretty well I think. It's worth watching.
