My wife is a high school teacher in a nice area, she totally agrees with allowing teachers to be armed. Our ideas on the matter are this.
1. Have at least a couple teachers who are designated to be armed. They would likely be volunteers due to the following.
2. Pay the designated teachers a couple thousand more a year.
3. Teachers who are designated to be armed must go through a strict psychological examination every year as well as gun/target training every couple years.
4. It must be kept a secret as to which teachers are armed.
