Lot then offers his own daughter who is a virgin to "know" them instead of his guests as he prizes hospitality.

I am not a Hebrew scholar so I don't know what the word that's translated to "know" in the king james version of the bible is. or what Its etymological derivatives are ect. But the same word is used in chapter 2 where it says "and adam knew his wife" and then cain was born. Not an exact quote but I know the same word "knew" is used for sex.
