Ideally use daily contact lenses for reducing the chance of infection. Also obviously make sure you have a thoroughly hygienic procedure for wearing the contacts.

If you are forgetful, set a routine where you remove contacts at a certain time or place. I have forgotten them before a few times but that was only because I was being an idiot.

If you really have to do something then go with lenses.

Whilst modern laser surgery is many times better than before, I know an ophthalmologist consultant whom speaks badly about laser surgery.

From what I see the end results are usually hit and miss. Also, whilst they are really good for solving issues with vision in the short term, most of the time they make things worse in the long run.

i have been wearing soft 30-day lenses for years with no problems
i can even sleep in them if i want, but i don't often

Sleeping with them increases chance of infection and deprives your eye the oxygen it needs.

Avoid at all costs to prevent long term damage.

they are breathable lenses and approved for continuous 30-day use, although my optician does recommend they are taken out most nights and cleaned, which i do anyway
my optician always compliments me on my eye health and compliance with hygiene etc

i myself have bad myopea and a mild astigmatism, so in order to not have inch thick lenses, i have to spend an extra £50 just to get thinner ones.
i wear contacts most of the time anyway tho.
£25 a month and i get all my lenses, solution, two free eye tests per year and a 'free' pair of glasses up to the value of £60
