Who was in the wrong here?

He's a retard but that's not illegal, unlike being an illegal alien.

Read the article. What a load of shit.

What's racist about reporting an illegal immigrant exactly?

Oh! That's right.. it's only racist when you report non-white illegal immigrants.

do you think the highschool has the rights to expel him on the basis of his racist reddit posts? thoughts?

If it's true he's done the country a favour, that illegal must have sucked up many tax dollars.

You could argue about conduct. Bragging on the internet you got someone deported or expelled or whatever. I could see how that could land you a couple of days detention or a talk with the pricepal since they can claim you didn't do it for the common good or a sense of justice but out of spite. Basically the guy is a fucking moron and the school is cucked but still overreacted.

Obviously the school, now that schools gonna have to pay out the ass for this

The school. They should reinstate him and apologize.

no one. It is well within the rights of the school to expel whoever they want.

I'm assuming it's a college, not a public school, which is a private institution.

What they're saying is that they don't want his political views ib their midst.
They are like a store refusing to serve a customer on grounds of his politics.
Sure it should be allowed, freedom of enterprise, but remember the time when a bakery refused to bake a cake for a gay couple because they're gay and the left freaked out so bad they forced the bakery to bake the cake through court?
This situation is no different, but suddenly it's okay.
If the court of law is to be respected, that man should have the choice to return to that school and get the school to be forced to give him the education he paid for.
Alternatively, full refund.
