Train your whole life
thats how life works. some people are literally born better than other people.
Tough shit as they say.
Didn't Ippo beat him the very first day he started training? I don't even remember.
ippo lost but he could stand his ground the very first day, after three months they had another sparring and ippo won by ko lmao
"Stand his ground" is saying too much. More like he was able to get up a few times and not go down. Miyata's non-counter punches are known to be kind of light and at this point didn't have the sort of piercing quality he gained later.
ippo may not have technique but he has a shit ton of endurance and power which at the end of the day it's what makes a boxer strong
>Be touted as a boxing prodigy that's 30-0 at age 16
>Get knocked out in juvie by a guy half your size
Overconfidence.
CAN HE BE BEATEN Sup Forums?
>promise to fight him in the ring
>over 1100 chapters later: STILL NO FIGHT
Floyd Mayweather proves you wrong
...
You know that nigger pays for his fights, right?
He was a six-round boy and only ever fought complete shitters. Joe was the first one with strong punches. Also, he never lost to him.
>Floyd "Run and Hide" Mayweather
>"boxer"
I think takamura might try.
But he'll die all akito no joe style in the ring.
>one of the few boxers that plays the game intelligently
>BUT HE DOESN'T BASH HIS HEAD AGAINST THE OPPONENTS FIST NOT MUH REAL BOXING
Can't stand normie fightfags. Real life isn't a damn anime
No, he's going to retire undefeated.
Takamura won't try because he'd have to drop into featherweight, Ippo's weight class.
Every ippo fight has some asspull bs. He lost a single time just to the anime being less ridiculous.
>normie
Lost twice fuckboi. Don't talk shit about Hajime no Ippo unless you know what you're talking about
>Being proud of being a normalfag
>>>/reddit/
This is my only problem with the manga.
I'm like 400 chapters in and he's lost once. At this point I really only read for the side characters, because I know Ippo is gonna get his skull smashed until the last couple rounds, pull some oxygen out his ass and knock the other guy out everytime.
Really enjoyed RRR though. You guys should check it out if you haven't already.
>Mayweather V Packy-ow
>Dances around and hugs all day
>Wins by a few points
O.K. Not to mention his fights are paid, you know.
That's why Paki wanted a rematch immediately afterward. Boxing is a shadow of what it used to be, mate.
He doesn't play intelligent for shit. Any time anyone comes in, he immediately clinches. It's not skill if you resort to a single tactic because you can't infight to save your life.
Also his fights are paid for.
Nothing on HSDK
>characters eat sleep and shit martial arts all their lives
>throw themselves in life threatening situations nonstop
>mc beats them after training a few months
>mc tries to learn some new move
>holy fucking shit youre so talentless
>its a good thing your REAL talent is hard work or you'd never have beaten those geniuses who were born for this!
>spot the faggot that thinks he can talk about boxing from watching 1 fight every year
He had been out of boxing for some time and was overconfident. Additionally, last I remember, Joe was using heavier gloves and actually had some shit he was hiding, at least when they had the unofficial fight. Joe, though, had been in dozens of street fights, if not hundreds, and had a freakishly solid punch but he only won because he managed to get lucky during the fight.
Even during their rematch, when Rikiishi went down two weight classes, Joe was struggling against him. He was a legitimately good fighter.
Yeah, that's called talent bruh. Now we can all be sad together that none of us will ever be Olympic athletes.
Boxing is just wrassling at this point but pretending to keep itself serious. At least wrassling keeps it entertaining by taking the piss out of itself with its over the top nature.
I'm no olympian, but I've been doing martial arts for about eight years, bruhski. About to start on Judo soon (tm). That or kickboxing to work off what I already know.
He had been training his muscles his entire life though. He was stronk.
If i remember that fight, Ippo got lucky that Miyata has a fragile chin.
Ippo already has good muscles from working his whole life so the only shit he lacked was technique
thats the definition
>used goods whore gets self conscious before going to sleep and has an outburst
shush bitch
just like real life
talent + some work/minimum amount of effort for maintenance of skill will always beat no talent + hard work
>Ippo got lucky that Miyata has a fragile chin
Then, slightly later, Miyata proceeds to get his chin hit by all of the straights in the world, but is perfectly okay and wanpans his ultimate rival.
He's either going to retire undefeated or get taken down by Miyata.
How the fuck would Takamura try? He's twice the guy's size, there's absolutely no way he could ever fight at featherweight.
You are dumb as fuck if you think Takamura is weaker than Ricardo, even pound-to-pound
>beaten by someone who's trained less than you quantitively in a sport
Styles makes fights. all it takes is a couple of power punches for Ippo to floor Miyata. Miyata has to play almost perfect defense inorder to avoid getting into a scrappy fight. Remind yourself these guys are barely out of highschool. I don't expect Miyata as young as he is to have the wisdom and patience to fight defensively.
Should have had more oxygen in his muscles.
Maybe once he reaches his peak Takamura will be better, but right now Ricardo's better pound for pound.
In every single one of Takamura's Championship challenges he struggles through the fight and wins by the skin of his teeth. Ricardo's toughest fight was against Jesus Date but he was in total control the whole time and barely broke a sweat.
>Also his fights are paid for.
What does that even mean?
Is a slow and insidious killer.
>lmao
>normie
Fuck off.
>Maybe once he reaches his peak Takamura will be better, but right now Ricardo's better pound for pound
>"In the Ippo world, Takamura is, without a doubt, the strongest pound for pound fighter." ~Morikawa
You're not the author here, user. Takamura is the strongest, this is straight from the horse's mouth.
Pretty sure he just called the use of shitty crossboarder's watered down normalfag term.
Nice forced choke retaliation, faggot.
He was playing with ipo, but then got serious and put him down several time, then KOed him with a counter.
>>train your whole life
Nigga, he was 16 years old and not even a pro. Don't throw tat w"whole life bullshit" to me. He lost to a lucky punch because he was inexperimented and lacked Ippo's resistance.
What matter is to win at the end.
>Then, slightly later, Miyata proceeds to get his chin hit by all of the straights in the world, but is perfectly okay and wanpans his ultimate rival.
?
Is it just me or do Alfredo and Ricardo give me some Chávez vs. De La Hoya vibes? You think it will play out like that? It seems likely since Ricardo reminds a lot like Chavez
>Nigga, he was 16 years old and not even a pro. Don't throw tat w"whole life bullshit" to me
Nigger,he started training with around 4 years old.
thats 12 fucking years, compared to a fucking jerk who just started training 3 months ago
