Manga thread

Haven't seen a manga thread in a while. What have you been reading, Sup Forums? What do you wish was scanlated?

I wish all mangos were licensed and got released almost at the same time as the jap release. Maybe 2 or 3 days later to give the guys time to do everything right. And I wish those releases were in the standard 3000+ pixel tall images. And I with we had more dankes.

Sounds like a sweatshop.

I want to read this, but I refuse to read ongoing manga. Plenty of backlog.

Weren't the scanlations for that halted? If so then it is sad, as the art is pretty well done.

Who the heck will pay for it?

Translators don't work for free, if they did this begging thread wouldn't exist.

A chapter just came out.

I've been meaning to read Bastard. How is it? I heard that it's on hiatus because the author won't stop redrawing his manga instead of continuing it.

Haven't read it yet but got a copy of the first volume of Blackhook Press' Dokudami Tenement release. Hoping they can collect the entire series without going bankrupt or some shit considering how niche a book it is

Just finished reading Shut Hell. Surprised it had a happy ending, but it was satisfying after all they went through.

If you're wishing on stars, why not just wish to know Japanese?

I'd settle for non retarded release schedules :^)

Been reading through all of the Kingdom Hearts manga on a dare. It's a true test of willpower. This franchise is complete garbage, and the manga is utter trash. I just have 2 volumes left, but it's such a chore to get through even one chapter that I've been putting it off. Wish me luck, Sup Forums.

I don't see the issue here, they're releasing at twice the rate of Japan.

have you seen how many shitty localizations there are of decent/good series? now imagine that number of shitty releases increased and quality run into the ground

i just finished reading oyasumi punpun

pic not related

Your tiny plebeian brain cannot handle the intellectual beauty of KH

Right now I'm working through Sangokushi.

Pretty much this. At the very least, I try not to pick up ongoing series unless they have a considerable amount already released.

In the manga of Kingdom Hearts 2 Vexen, one of the Organization XIII members who was killed in Chain of Memories, shows up as a clone of the original Vexen for 2 scenes during which time he confirms that there are at least 33 Vexen clones running around. This is never mentioned again, and was, for reasons which elude me completely, made up just for the manga. I just want people to understand that this is a series so bad that the author of the manga adaptation added in two scenes which add a major plot hole to the work, then just pretends it didn't happen.

It is vexing.

I've been reading Hirunaka no Ryuusei lately, it's a fun little shoujou manga and I've been enjoying it so far.

>What do you wish was scanlated?
Eternally peeved that Sora ga Haiiro Dakara will never be fully translated.

>What have you been reading, Sup Forums?
Billy Bat. By the way, this series is great if you like conspiracy theories.

>What do you wish was scanlated?
Rock Me Amadeus, Deep Forest, and Mako-san to Hachisuka-kun.

Gakkou Gurashi and Watari-kun no xx ga Houkai Sunzen

Finished reading all of this to the current chapter, im slowly turning into a trash furry lover. Planning on reading Dungeon meshi and catch up with Saki.

>What have you been reading, Sup Forums?
Recently bought the first three volumes of Wave, Listen to Me!, which reaffirms my opinion that Samura lighter work is better than his more edgy one.

>What do you wish was scanlated?
Latest additions to my "I Really wish somone would translate this" are Poe no Ichizoku and The Kabocha Wine.

reading manga is suffering, honestly, the current manga i was reading has six volumes out, only one has been scanned and translated

and im having a hard time find RAWS for the other volumes, shits mad gay, guess its better to read completed works

Reading Soil. I wish this had an awesome localized hardcover release. It's really interesting and has good aesthetic.

I wish all of Violence Jack was translated. Read Devilman Lady recently and Go Nagai had some great art there as well.

Started saving my favorite pages from manga so here's one from Devilman Lady.

Good thing you didn't even mention the name, so that there's no chance someone could find interest in it and possibly scanlate it further.

i didn't want to get made fun of

its Umehara - Fighting Gamers!

It looks like that royal clown-servant thing from Little Nemo

Second vol of pic related. Nozomin is bad for my heart.

>RAWS

Why oh why do people capitalize this word? It's not an acronym.

I wish the rest of the galaxy angel mangas were scanlated

>What have you been reading?
Rorouni Kenshin. It's about time really. So far the plot is meh because there isn't really a consistent one but I got to Shishio which is suppose to be a major villain I think. I really like Kenshin though, he's a fun MC.
>What do you wish was scanlated?
Too much stuff. Too much.
Billy bat is great although towards the end it's became kinda weird. Preferred the first half by far.

>download raw manga in the hopes I can use my beginner-level moonrune knowledge to translate manga
>forgot I downloaded a josei
>all the kanji don't have the hiragana in small print beside them
>give up

It was Kenshuui Nanako by Morimoto Kozueko, the mangaka of Gokusen. I like her work and I'm a healthcare practitioner, so I thought I would try my hand at it. I'm 1000 years away from being able to properly translate.

>What are you reading?
Mousou Telepathy, Made in Abyss, Hitsugi Katsugi no Kuro, Shoujo Apocalypse Adventure, Sheriff Evans, Aharen-san, Rapid Commuter Underground, Kremlin Palace, Shojo Kairo (RIP scanlations), Love Tyrant, your pic and countless others.

>What do you wish was scanlated?
Mizuiro Idea

Rev-up them Jisho, user, and you'll be an internet-approved translator in no time.

Oh, Gokusen? I remember watching the anime back ago, is the manga worth the read if you've already watched the anime?

The manga is hilarious. At least to me. You should give it a try.

>more dankes
I wish her ripped some mango that he was asked to do months ago. He's still based though.

>What do you wish was scanlated?

I spent a long time wishing someone would pick up Nejimaki Kagyu, so I went ahead and did it myself without any experience.

If there's something out there with nobody working on it, just go do it yourself. Even if you're not that great, it's better than nothing.

Kinda, translator stayed the same, but the typesetter (TSP) quit. New typesetter is Ronin.

One more to the backlog, I suppose. I'll check it out.

Worst part about downloading raws is dealing with shitty quality. I marathoned Dorohedoro up to volume 19 this week but had to stop because the 20 and 21 scans were unreadable blurry messes. Now I have no choice but to buy the tanks I guess

>Poe no Ichizoku
Ah, this is licensed where I live. Must be good.
