Meme character ironic weebs flock to.
Garbage taste.

People misunderstand her attitude and how she acts, unlike most of the other girls Nico has some depth. Not much mind you but more than the rest of Muse. Really just ignorance and taking everything she does at face value.
Ask that to her previous school idol club colleagues.
I love Nico
but since shes popular people are gonna hate her
What hate? Nico is like the most or second most popular on average.
But she's my second favorite, Umi is the actual best.
Why do the other girls even exist tier:
Umi
Nico
Nozomi
Alright tier:
Maki
Kotori
Shit tier:
Honoka
Rin
Kill yourself tier:
Hanayo
Eli
I'll never understand the Umi dickriding, she's boring as fuck.
youtube.com
I think it's cause she's cute.
Nozomi is boring
Her relationship with Okasa was interesting
No that would be Umi or Maki.
Because
I love Nico so much. She's so cute and tiny. I wanna fuck her so bad
Sauce on that doujin?
She's a mean person who at face value, you might, in reality be less inclined to be friend with?
But in a drama where it is possible for the viewer to assess all aspects of a character's personality and without bias or the limitations of reality, it is possible to garner a deeper understanding of the character beyond spite and cynicism.
In truth people don't appreciate her because she's a callous individual but fail to appreciate that her character and background is actually rather realistic - especially for a character in an otaku bait show.
I suppose some people either just want pure princesses with no personality flaws or like to pretend that the majority of people are somehow free of some kind of personal shortcoming.
People will hate her because she's popular but the absolute truth is that she carried both seasons.

To take it a step further (and arguably, some may consider this a shortcoming of the show) but due to a lack of time to overtly develop the cast entirely, a lot of the character development or detail is conveyed through more subtle means, either in terms of background actions or statements - which provide a greater insight into said character's personality.
A lot of the nuance that drives Nico's character isn't really thrown in the viewer's face, if you don't actually stop to contemplate it, it's very easy to overlook the fact that - while she is conceited and attention hungry (this part is overt), she's also very hard working and dedicated to her goals (not so overt - highlighted through various facts i.e. managing to find time to practise, do school work and care for children and also improve her dancing to such a level that she's later capable of beating Honk at the same dancing game that Honkers previously won).
Love Live isn't, by any means, the most complex or nuanced show in the world but I wonder if the pay off is too subtle for younger viewers - especially ones who are used to anime spoon feeding them and being very explicit about character development and character arc resolutions.
I like her.
She's my favorite love live idol.
I just wish she wasn't flat.
>I just wish she wasn't flat.
So you want a loli with oppai? Fuck off. Her tiny body turns me on.
>loli
>teenager in high school
The best part is her reaction when she gets the fat one toward the end.
>implying loli isn't a body type
Nozomi is a terrible character.
>Muh tarot mystical mary sue powers
>Unwarranted, annoying smugness literally constantly
>Threatens people with sexual abuse if they don't do what she tells them to
>Gets away with it
Plz don't sexualise Nico. The cutest part about her is thinking, like how you could man handle her because she's so small. Like picking her up like an oversized bag and carrying her underarm.
I love Nico and want to kiss her and bap her womb
But that's her appeal.
I love her. She's perfect.
but I fapped to her today
Boring or not, Umi did nothing wrong.
.
She does nothing but propagate the idea that Idols need to based around gimmicks with her stupid NICO NICO NIII crap instead of focusing on giving characters actual talent or personality.
Simply put she's the embodiment of everything wrong with the industry. A shallow, talent-less brat who hides behind a catch phrase.
Yeah but that's what makes her so endearing, is that despite her beliefs being flawed (something the show painstakingly tries to convey, by demeaning or belittling her attempts to further her career through her routine), she still wholeheartedly believes in it.
What makes her catchphrase appealing isn't the catchphrase itself - were it presented at face value, it would mean nothing and be nothing but otaku bait. What makes it significant is her conviction and how far she's willing to persist in following her beliefs that make the whole thing appealing.
Every time I hear it, I think not of the saccharine catchphrase itself but rather the person who would painstakingly take time to try and devise a catchphrase that they thought would best embody their "stage persona" and augment their desired facade.
This.
>sister went to toy store for her kids
>saw LL figure, ask if I want one
>one Bird-cane Kotori and one school uniform Umi, asked about their character
>I answered how great Kotori's design was, but when I was starting to described Umi...
>"well she was kind of a bland woman and nothing more..."
>told sis to just bought Kotori.
Nozomi reminded me of Miku from Cinderella girl, the kind of girl's that actually want to be a career idol and put effort into it, rather than just being roped into it or want to have fun. I prefer driven and ambitious character like them.
Fuck I mean Nico.
she's one of the most popular raibus in japan, I don't why you are sayng that people hate her
Annoying catchphrase and attitude
Her sass is her appeal.
I knew Umi was great as soon as I saw this scene
youtube.com
Umi is too pure for this world
>not wanting to get sexually abused by Nozomi
What are you, gay or something?
Are you? I don't want people touching me without permission, particularly if they're deliberately making me uncomfortable in order to extract something out of me, and I wouldn't be fine with her doing that to random women either.
Eli and Honoka are god tier.
Um is just like a background character
the episode towards the beginning of the show when she was trying to get over her stage fright gave her points for me, early on.
She's still the best.
Because Maki is better.
Because a lot of people do not apppreciate female characters who aren't obedient and passive as they are not wife material. Ironically Nico would make a great wife as she more or less takes care of her house and younger siblings all on her own and once you get past her tsun attitude she will be very nice to you (just look at her interactions with Hanayo at the end of s2).
Maki is a lucky woman
