Has rewatching a show ever deeply changed your opinion of it ?
Has rewatching a show ever deeply changed your opinion of it ?
Only when going back to it after having actually read the source material. I still love Spice and Wolf and Gunslinger Girl, but i couldn't help but get angry at the changes that their respective adaptations made
Evangelion. I had it like the most deep and filosophical anime and blah blah blah, but I rewatched it a couple years ago and found out that I was retarded and that it is kinda average, nothing special
...
Yes it happened with Chuuni. Still liked the show and a premise but if conversation about it ever comes up I'll most likely bash it for its shortcomings and shallow mcs
I really didn't like Stand Alone Complex the first time I watched it. One of my favorites now.
That happened a lot to me.
FLCL felt like lol so random to me with inconsistent plot.
I rewatched recently and suddenly it was really easy to follow and everything made sense.
I felt like Eva was overrated and generally meh. But after rewatching it in more mature age it grew on me and I could appreciate the characters and relate to their suffering more than I did as teenage when I watched it.
I used to be a Death Note fan but rewatching it dulled my impression on it. Same with TTGL, I didn't felt hype anymore (except I still like this one and I still think it's a good story about the power of human spirit).
Kara no Kyoukai the 5th Movie. At first I was too confused about the plot and timelines to care about the characters but after rewatching I was in the manly tears.
Most of the time my impression changes if the thing I'm rewatching I watched as a teenage first.
this but the opposite effect
>filosophical
Spice and Wolf's banter is so fucking irritating
