Less than 24 hours before Sunrise retroactively ruins OG

So, in prep for OGkatsu tomorrow, I caught up on Stars.
Turns out I was 12 eps behind, but I wasn't watching all of that, so I flicked through them all in about an hour.

I just want to make sure I have the important plot points down:
1. Elza's a cunt.
2. 6 of 9 super duper mega famous rich ultra sparkling flavoursome premium dresses have turned up. When all 9 are gathered, Venus Arc transforms and fights the dragon (I'm sure there was a dragon in there somewhere).
3. Sheep replaced cat.
4. Rola still irrelevant.
5. Boys ceased to exist.

Mahiru got her wings first but she is even more irrelevant than Roller.

Where is Stars even going, anyway? Feels pretty aimless even if they supposedly have an end-game. The characters are supposed to all be working to get to the top of the Aikatsu Ranking but it feels as if they're just loitering around.

We're going to spend the next several episodes building up some more. Rei will likely get her wings right after the crossover, and Yume will probably get hers in the with Koharu maybe leaving again. Then they'll spend the final half of the season trying to convince us that Yume has become the greatest idol in the entire world while she wears her newly acquired magic coord that the Aikatsu system can somehow just make out of thin air.

Alma is a miracle of the universe, truly top tier waifu/husbando materia.

You know, even leaving aside the idiocy of making Yume S4 so quickly, I think this first half of S2 should've been used to gradually build up to a tournament where Yume loses against Elza but without getting completely curbstomped, with Elza showing at least some small cracks in her confidence. From what we know, we're getting nothing of the sort before Venus Ark leaves Japan, and honestly Yume feels no better now than she did at the start of the season, with Elza still being just as impossibly unreachable as ever.

Take a look at the Ichigo gen by comparison: Ichigo narrowly lost to Mizuki at the end of the first season (by a much much smaller margin that Yume lost to Hime, let alone Elza), then in S2 it only took until halfway through the season for Ichigo to break her tie with Seira and triumph over her, leaving the second half to build up to that final push to surpass Mizuki.

But maybe they'll surprise me and Yume will never beat Elza by the end, but just Hime. I doubt that though due to the Sun dress leak.

Koharu will be returning to Yotsuboshi right after the crossover. There's the possibility that Rei might leave as well depending on how long the Venus Ark will go on tour.

The Sun SPR won't be about winning. The Sun SPR makes everyone shine as bright as you. The show will end with an "evertone is a winner, nobody is a loser" message.

It won't make me forgive them, but at least blowing Elza the fuck out is the second best thing, the first obviously being never introducing her in the first place.
