Is religion dead?

Is religion dead?

Scientist assure us that consciousness is a high level version of mindless "stuff"
in that sense "stuff" is a simple version of consciousness

Not at all.

no one can disprove that reply to this or your mom will die in her sleep tonight

You’re confusing religion and Canada, syrupo goblino. Canada is dead. Religion is very much alive.

No but this movie was stupid.
Watch Silence or Passion of the Christ instead.

Nobody goes to church anymore, religion is obsolete in the modern world.
In another generation marriage will be completely obsolete too.

Religion is here to stay. Don't let the ugly Jews tell you other wise. Pic related.

That's terrible logic, the burden of proof is on the one making the claim and this movie was fucking gay. The professor converted only because he was about to die, and that fucking preacher was more concerned about converting him than helping him.

No. It should be. All Gods are man made myths.

I go to church tho?!

>le burden of proof
That’s not apart of formal logic m80. We are not Aristoteleans.

Cultural religion isn't, but supernatural religion pretty much is. Majority of all Finns are members of church and attend traditional religious ceremonies, but according to research made by church itself under half of it's membership believes in God.

What is the age demographics of people at church with you?

If it was, you sodomites wouldn't go round demanding Christians to "Bake my Cake!" now would you?

Russell's teapot

checkmate

Religion ebbs and flows. It's actually on the rise in America. To say that it's just gonna go away and soon everyone will be an athiest is just fucking retarded.

At least 50% 18-21, it's a university church.

Okay so what?
>there’s an invisible teapot
Alright, granted. Now go to church faggot.

Burden of proof. It's on the one making the claim.

>faggot
Why the homophobia?

Are you that irrational because you're a woman?

Or is it all the soy

Also it’s worth mentioning that the man whom Cucktrand Russel deemed smarter than himself was not an atheist and was against atheism

Kill yourself, nonce.

No. It consumes less and less of everyone's thoughts as time goes onwards. Understanding of the universe runs contrary to religious beliefs. Virtually all religious beliefs are believed to be ordained by some higher figure, so that if you can disprove even a single element of the dogma, then the entire doctrine, and thus the religion that is built on top of it, is disproven.

What do you mean, nigger?

Religion won't just die. Even the atheists have proved they will just worship the state. The only way it dies is if we kill it.

>the burden of proof is on the one making the claim
Ok, the universe has an uncaused cause. What now faggot?

>speaks of the rational and irrational
Prove to me that reason exists without presupposing Kantian idealism a-priori which itself is not falsifiable.
That would prove me irrational.

post a pic of what you look like mr. alpha male

Is that where all the younger church goers are hiding?
Any church around here is packed with old people.

>implying they're not ALL true

science can not disprove something that never existed.

for something to prove or disprove something it need to be able to observer/measure the effect of that something when it is introduced or removed from some form of controlled experiment.

Science also can not prove or disprove the existance of, santa claus, the tooth fary, the Easter bunny, or any other god or deity that has been worshiped in the past.

the only thing that science can prove is that the bible and the supposed powers of your god are full of shit.

DONT LEAVE TO SCIENCE TO DISPROVE WHAT COMMON SENSE HAS ALREADY DISPROVED FOR YOU.

It's starting to die out.
Atheism worldwide has been decreasing as a % because of islam.

>Burden of proof. It's on the one making the claim.
the absence of evidence is not evidence of absence

The burden of proof is on the atheist. There is a presumption in favor of mere possibility, insofar as, until something is shown to be impossible, it is presumed to be possible. However, if God is considered merely possible (is not-self contradictory), then is follows immediately that God must exist. This is the case since the necessary existence is contained in the concept of God, and anything contained in the concept of a thing may be truly predicated of that thing. So the burden of proof is on the atheist, since the presumption of possibility favors the theist in this case.

t. Leibniz and Descartes

>le positivism
Reddit is that way.

Science can't prove a lot of things, like morality for example. The problem is that our brains just don't work like that. Nobody can get through a single day relying only on "proven" things. We all have beliefs. Some people just have autism and deny it.

Even the idea that your "science" is good, is a belief. Why does it matter if things are "objective"? Even if it leads to "better" results, why is that good? You can't prove anything that matters.

The proof is when you commune with the divine.
>I can’t test it
Well you can’t test gravity either. Observing the effects of gravity isn’t testing gravity itself. None the less, we have predictive power in both fields.

Atheism is decreasing because edgy nihilists don't have children.

They all can't be true. Some are know myths. One such God myth is definitely Jesus as he never existed. Jesus the "Christ" is folklore.

What is:
>math
>logic
>the scientific method

>Literally doesn't know what a fable is

Holy shit, are you retarded?

Wrong. It all depends on interpretation and it's very reasonable to suppose that most religions are not supposed to be interpreted entirely literally. Look into perennialism. Of course you won't seriously investigate because you already made up your mind. But there it is.

What can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.

you are right, science can not prove a lot of things..... yet.

without god morality can not exist.

science is not good or bad it is a double edged sword capable of great many things both good and bad.

Desu but the cheat codes it offers

It's decreasing because there is a lot of stigma around those who identify as atheist, however many people identify as Christian without actually being a Christian as apathy means it's easier to not give a shit and apathy is what will kill religion

>"and they're right"
>accepting your opponent's conception of proof - why even bother debating at all wtf. you apriori lose when you let someone define you into nonsense.

Yes, and you lefties killed it. Read up on Nietzsche to learn how fucked we are due to you guys.

>the burden of proof is on the one making the claim and this movie was fucking gay.
but you can't disprove the movie wasn't gay.
the movie in op question does have the grace of pointing out stupid arguments by atheists, who are all stupider than the prot.

The guy in the op pic might not actually know god imao

>Is religion dead?
>says the faggot leaf whose nation is being taking over by Islam and the same for most europoor countries
Your nation Leaf as well as many nations or countries in Europe show off how great they are by being mostly atheist and none believing, yet the so called ignorant and dumb religious people like muslims are taking over like nothing, what do you have to say about these? It just shows a nation with a high religious belief system is always superior to even first world countries who don't need no God anymore top fucking kek.

Religion has been dead ever since people started taking it less seriously around the time of the Protestant reformation
and the rise of secular thought. At this point people are only really religious because they like to believe they will go to heaven.
Statistically almost nobody refrains from drinking alcohol, consuming drugs or tobacco, masturbation, and premarital sex all of which would be considered immoral by original Abrahamic ideas.

Not to mention even the "religious" people nowadays that realize they have done something of this sort against their religion can just confess and be "forgiven". People don't have to put any effort into going to heaven anymore.

Historically religion has been manipulated to suit growing secular ideas (suddenly drinking, drugs, and sex are forgivable because surely God isn't THAT strict...)

Invisibilty is the ultimate superpower.

Proof as a concept has no meaning outside of pure mathematics.

The modest enlightened mind acknowledges that we know that we do not know, or in my native lutheran protestant view, cannot know; the existence or non-existence of god.

The lutheran point originally was that to offer material evidence for the existence of god would be to detract from righteous faith. At least I think it's called righteous faith in english.

The Odin Brotherhood is a secret society for men and women who value “knowledge, freedom, and power.”

The Odin Brotherhood adheres to and practices the ancient warrior religion that is today called Odinism or Asatru. Consecrated to the pagan gods of Asgard–gods that are older, better, and truer--members of the Brotherhood use the Eddaic Verses–also called the Poetic Edda–as sacred texts.

As a warrior religion--a creed that glorifies the hero over the saint--the "mailed fist" over the "nailed hands"--the Odin Brotherhood represents strength over weakness, pride over humility, and knowledge over faith.

In an era of ugliness, impotence, and death, we glorify beauty, power, and life.Ours is a religion that creates no laws, only virtues. A revolt against the modern world–with its laws and moral codes–its hangmen and its priests–Odinism teaches men and women how to rule, fight, hunt, and procreate.

Your country is fucking shit compared to Canada

Nietsche is ten books of "omg im so smart, pls let me marry and be part of society, im so smart it cant matter that much im syphilitic, im very smart"

He is impressive only in so far as the reader is unaware of the content of the corpus of western enlightenment literature.

Invisibility is for fucking betas
Time control is #1

> people started taking it less seriously around the time of the Protestant reformation
People took religion less seriously during a time there were brutal religious wars across Europe??

Agnotic best belief system, can't prove there is can't prove there is not.

Obviously the Catholics fought the reformation but the ultimate success of evangelicalism would result in people taking religion less seriously thus spawning the "I can go to heaven just because I believe in Jeebus" shit

>the burden of proof is on the one making the claim
Burden of proof on this claim you made?

It is certainly dying in the West, which is a pity because many of today's social problems partly stem from religion dying. For example, a sense of community built around the local church where everyone sees everyone else at least once a week. And if you were lucky enough to get a good priest, they can be better for your personal mental health than any paid shrink as the priest would know you and your situation personally, and could actually give practical advice instead of the usual "be yourself" bullshit. And they are sworn to secrecy too!

Personally, I have never been able to find a modern replacement for the absolute inner peace and serenity I find while praying in an empty church. Nothing comes close. It's damn near magical that I am able to get this in such a ugly and dirty world.

Keep an open mind but pretend to believe for that sweet church pussy.

No but atheists are, just look at their birth rates compared to religious people

Undercover Jesuit detected.

If being angry about people turning religion into a joke and calling themselves "religious" when they don't do shit to earn the title makes me a radical religion is truly dead.
