I'm calling it now, the message they got is from their future selves, the same with Minori so that's why she's in the festival too and there's no name or number attached with the text. Hopefully it's not a "we hope you don't have any regrets like we did before she dies" scenario but rather a "live as happily as we did too".
Then again I might be reading too much into this but who knows.

The source is a novel, but no manga has been done. If anything now I got worried about the pacing of this stuff.
