was that actually an episode or was it just a glimpse fight? I got to the episode where they were like "oh this happened last time" and I was like "wait did i miss that episode somehow?"

Seriously, it's worth watching just for this fight alone. Easily one of the best anime fights of all time.

This anime would be fantastic if the pacing wasn't so fucking slow. Barring the last episode, no other needed 40 minutes of dragged dialogue and boring scenes

Yes, is has nice Character Development and suprsing ending. The only weird thing is the MC fucking more than 2 meters high.

I enjoyed the pacing. For a largely episodic show, characters felt fleshed out enough and the dialog was engaging, entertaining, and purposeful. It also greatly complemented the action. I understand that slower burning shows aren't for everyone, but Katanagatari felt just right.
