Buyfag: Jeopardy edition?
I'll take "Best designed figures" for 200.

>image unrelated

Why would anyone want to buy a figure that was all grey? It looks dumb

some people are colourblind so its cheaper

Ohhhh, I'm sorry Abdeel but that is incorrect. The correct answer is Pic Related.

i guess that makes sense. Still seems kind of silly though. Even if you can't see colour, your girlfriend might still be able to and so logically it would still look bad if she were to see your collection.

>your girlfriend
You mean my mom, right?

Yea typo

Goddamn it I hate TOM. Why couldn't any good store that didn't need a forwarder carry these? How long do their """made to order""" books take to ship anyway? They have a book or two I'm having trouble finding elsewhere.

Sometimes the source material is in black and white, so a grayscale figure is technically more accurate. Actually, come to think of it, I'm a bit surprised black and white figures aren't really a thing in the east since pretty much all manga is black and white/

>girlfriend

>le ebin 3d reaction.jpg
Go back to where you came from

Icky icky icky!

Having a gray scale figure might be pretty nice. It would help show all the details in the curves that you lose with paint

Because covers are usually in color and so is character design art.

Lol, i troll u
:^)

Hopefully she bins.

Sorry that I don't have an anime version of the "Where do you think we are?" image.

...

I'll let it slide this time but use your anime reaction folder in the future. Exceptions can be made for 3dpd.jpgs featuring gooks

is that a female
yuck

I think it doesn't have to be that specific to get the point across.

>autism
Clearly a shounen

Disgraceful garbage

I agree about seeing the details, but the paint still makes the figure more attractive overrral.
Not to mention that a good paintjob can make a figure look amazing.

What are you, gay?

Can any of you newfriends explain to me why this 3djpdg is acceptable? A funny gif for the first with the right answer

Shota?

This is a little less plebeian, but still
>vagina worship
>pantsu obsession
The height of emasculation and pathetic betaness. Get your shit together Japan

wtf delete this photo of me

No need to be salty that you can't get a boyfriend user. You should eventually find someone who will love you

Two, your mom's and little brother.

Like half of buyfag consists of married/gf/wymin.

What's the matter friend?

What kind of pantsu does Mikudayo wear? I want to know now

>wymin
>>>/tumblr/

Fuck off.

It has to end. For the future of the Japanese people this needs to be stopped.

>doesn't like attractive women
sucks to be you

...

"Liking attractive women" doesn't mean you need to be a dysfunctional pervert, friend. The problems I'm pointing out to you are very clear and indisputable, really. It's not personal.

Are you out of pantsu shots? That's a shame

I wonder if we would have less dumb cross-boarders if the thread moved to /jp/.

How nu?

hi nu

How, nu.

>up skirt chibi miku
I'm a filthy piece of trash when it comes to this stuff but I can even say this is going to far. People should have more respect for their waifu.

Your bitterness is a poison for yourself more than anyone. I advise you sort yourself out!

Miku is the lowest tier of waifu. Corporatized waifuism. Pure exploitative commercialism. Disgusting

There is no harm done if it's only plastic user. Be realistic here

How about we talk buyfaging?

Buyfagging can be seen to represent the increasing trends of social isolation and commercialized fantasy. It's not that your hobby is necessarily all bad, but it should be understood and accepted in this community that, to most people, this hobby represents something that is bad. Nobody can stop you from buying plastic figurines, but you don't have to fight healthy opposition to these trends; you can still be a part of the solution instead of the problem. You can still buyfag without needing to defend it. You can still buyfag while taking advantage of the hobby's understandably negative image to help encourage other people to be a part of a healthier outlook and lifestyle. That's exactly what I'm doing here.

>Have a hobby
>focus on what others think to enjoy it
Why would you do that with anything? Do you feel bad about whatever you have in your room because someone might think it is weird or out of place? Sounds stressful

Tldr

It's not about my individual enjoyment or other people's judgments of me personally. It's about understanding that what I do with my life in this world matters. So, therefore, I want to ensure that the generations to come benefit from the time that I lived. It's purely about giving to the planet and future of humanity. I'm simply taking advantage of the (very apparent and understandable) negative stigma surrounding japanese anime figurine collecting to cajole you into considering the far-reaching connotations of buyfaggotry, and so to then use your very influence and membership to be a benefit in that regard.

Alter Seiba swimsuit fig

Nevermind, we need to go lewder and make a boobs window.

>gun, sword, AND popsicle
not sure if I'd want it

>those arms stretched out as if the person in the costume can't even comprehend why someone is taking an upskirt of a chibi
That's pretty funny.

>to be a benefit in that regard.
For yourself and for others!

I don't get it

So why can't I have a productive job and have buyfagging as a relaxing hobby? Collecting and taking pictures is relaxing, and how could I benefit society when I'm not at my best mentally? Collecting =/= Not being productive
Are you out of skirt upshots? Guess it isn't as common as you try to say...
One of my faves

Don't be a heedless degenerate. It's in poor taste. Be a better man for your waifu, user.

How is she in Rider class?

Jesus, why are buyfags so fucking easy to bait? You guys know that you're not supposed to respond to obvious trolls, right?

Now back on topic, anyone here buying one of these toilets? Still on the fence myself, but I'll probably cave once I see how it actually ends up looking and not just the promo images.

>productive
Most people already have to work very hard for most of their lives just to get by. And the characteristic NEET laziness that exists is usually a direct result of those social and economic conditions. So it's not about >work harder goyim! It's about having good taste and a sense of responsibility for the far reaching social and cultural repercussions of your choices. Ask yourself: If I buy this figurine, what will my grandchildren think about their grandfather, assuming they know nothing and have no preconceptions about buyfagging? Is this purchase tasteful, or is it degenerate? It might seem trivial and arbitrary, but who we are as people and the decisions we make in life matter, and we should care about that.

>MFC keeps getting more broken each time that rabbit jew updates it

can't even look at pictures correctly anymore, it's bothering my autism

Getting a re-release.

You're implying that my grandparents never collected things, or anyone else does for that matter. You're also using the argument of
>What will X think if they see I own it
Oh no, my ancestors collected soda bottle caps, what a degenerate member of society! Collecting isn't the life, just a part of it.

Every hobby I have ever seen has unhealthy participants. Yes the anime fandom has a higher rate of unhealthy people.

But buy faging is the most expensive part of this hobby and almost always requires you to have some form of a life out side your house.

I'm currently interested in a figure that is only available on mandarake under opened/box damaged condition, storefront item. No other damage listed. I've read people had experiences with opened items ranging from perfect pristine condition to being stained to all hell and back. Does asking them for more product pictures make sense or is it a 50/50 chance.

Or do I try to find reputable seller/scalper on ebay

I hate the new design he added, it looks awful. Don't fix what isn't broken.

That's better formulated and I agree

Nenecchi nendo when

You're really missing the obvious point here, whether intentionally or not. It's not the collecting that's the problem. It's what you collect, and why.

>What will X think
Not always, but sometimes the opinions and judgments of your friends and family can be valuable resources to utilize for self reflection. I would say this is one of those circumstances. For example, what would your grandmother think about that fig you just posted? I know what mine would say, and maybe she has a point.

Mandarake has never been an issue with me, and I would say if there are issues with the figure, they are rare. You should be fine, but if you really want to know, you can shoot them an email

Nips are pretty autistic about taking care of their stuff. If somebody so much as breathes on something they list it as "damaged".

The few things on manda I've gotten have always looked brand new, much better than anything you'll get from ebay which will probably be a bootleg.

Whole family has seen it, and mom said it is really cute, senpai even brags about size of collection.
Sorry you are old fashioned and insecure, I really am. Don't walk around with merch in public and don't be like Melonpan and you're straight.

All the more reason to recruit you into a better concept of culture, taste, and personal responsibility. People who have actual skills and capabilities in the world are more able to create change than people who don't.

So, i come from Singapore, a place with strict laws on obscene articles and i'm planning to buy the figure above from amiami. According to what i know, they don't tax anything above $400. I've red through the guide about shipping and how SAL and Surface (sea) mail have the best chance of not getting screwed over by the customs. I can't seem to find the option for unregistered SAL small packet though. Other than shipping what other precaution can i take so i don't end up arrested or have my money wasted? Are there any Singaporean anons or anons who faced the same situation here who bought lewd figures before with success? Mind sharing your experiences?

It's not that traditional cultures are flawless or ideal, but in many ways the traditional or conservative criticisms of degeneracy in our "free and liberated societies" are very valid and self apparent. Claiming to be the victims of prudish oppression when confronted with these obvious problems is a typical denial mechanism.

I don't disagree with that, I actually agree wholeheartedly. The sanctity of one's room and the societal public are two different sets of standards and expectations however. Having Japanese deco art in one's room isn't as bad as bring a daki to a public restaurant. There is a line, but just buying figures for personal display doesn't cross it

While I agree with most of that, I think some figures are just tasteless and degenerate, and have no redeeming value. Pic related is right on the line, imo. Anything edgier or more pornographic than this is just garbage, regardless of any otherwise "artistic" slant put on it.

>isn't as bad as bring a daki to a public restaurant
Also, it's not that this is necessarily bad, either. It depends on who is doing it, and why, and how.

I don't like the damaged version but this has so much character compared to the Amakuni one. I'm fucking debating so hard whether I should ignore this or jump in. If this was Iowa in her full glory I'd say fuck Amakuni's version.

Can anyone tell me a good fig Summer fig as good as the Tamamo one?

I'm hoping to build a selection for Summer Display.

>The height of emasculation and pathetic betaness
>Says while browsing a thread about buying anime figurines
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

mikatan.goodsmile.info/en/2017/08/17/megumi-kato-swimsuit-ver-saekano-how-to-raise-a-boring-girlfriend/

Preorder up tomorrow.

Outside of fetish reasons why would you buy that?

That's fair.
He brings that daki everywhere in Boston. I think he falls right into the cringe/unacceptable territory

Fetish reasons :^)

Actually, it's for dioramas. In particular, it'd work with a 1/12 beach scene I'm making for that new daibadi robo fag, but it would also be good for construction sites or sports scenes or a few other things. Also just kind of fun on its own for a changing room or something. Looks like it'll be way better than that shitty changing room on TOM.

So essentially you come to a thread about a specific topic to bash people who like It. Shitposting on its finest.
>trends of social isolation and commercialized fantasy.
Just like anime, video games and the whole internet in general then?

What's the problem with pornographic stuff?

was Megumi always that stacked.

I have desire for that whatsoever. I'm a little sickened but also curious to see how they sell.

If all you want is summer just go digging through the swimsuit tag on MFC. I presume you're looking for something a bit more specific than that.

She was. It's just that Utaha and Michiru are much bigger so she seems pale in comparison.

>Sickened
>By a portapotty
>By a clean porapotty with no one and nothing in it
I thought Sup Forums was one of the boards with a smaller percentage of newfags.
