Surely you should have been added automatically to the register after you turned 18? I never had to register (that I remember anyway) and have voted in every vote we've had since I turned 18. Obviously I wouldn't chance it and make sure you are on the register, but I'm sure you'll be able to if you're doing it with so much time to spare.
