Checked. This meme captures the real issue with privatizing roads. I am sympathetic to libertarianism. But I'm wondering with regards to road, how would roads be paid for? I know that suburb could get away with gravel, however how many people would want to downgrade from statist asphalt to gravel? I would like to here some possible ideas.

The current system of roads we have is actually really inefficient in stupid when we think about it. I assume it's the same in Australia as in Iceland, as in anywhere else.
You have houses built so far away that the government has to build an asphalt road to it, and maintain it.
Since free markets tend to towards efficiency, and our current systems does not, there would be some transition difficulty.
This is just an idea as to how roads would might be laid; is that large 4 lane roads are built, and on the side the road companies own the plot of land that they lease out, as well as use of the road.
Also, in and about homes you could have communal roads.

The state offers money to scientist to "research" cures and offers "free public healthcare".
Premartial sex and sleeping around with anyone would result in pregnancy, and without a welfare state single mothers would have to:
i. not open their legs to everyone ii. use contraception iii. raise their kids and live in abject poverty, while constantly having to live of charity and hand-outs.
Ultimately, the stigma around divorce and single motherhood would return.
