What is happening? Are they nuking this entire general?

It seems a little constricting in places but I'll hold my criticism until I see how things play out.

I hope this is true. I know we've had our ups and downs but in the end, there's at least one mod who's not retarded.

ごきげんよう Sup Forums, the moderation team has come up with a few guidelines to improve your experience on Sup Forums and encourage people to lurk moar, etc. Mods will be more proactive in moving or removing threads when deemed necessary. This will only be stickied temporarily.

- Please avoid making threads in “general” or “template” formats. Avoid chaining threads, copy-pasting OPs, backlinks, and the like.
- Avoid redirecting all discussion of a series to a single thread. Users are free to discuss similar content in separate threads as long as threads are not being spammed.
- As commonly recurring threads tend to suffer from degradation of quality over time, posts inside such threads may be held to higher standards in terms of rules 6 (Quality of Posts) and 10 (Spamming/Excessive Reposting).
- Threads in Sup Forums should be primarily based on anime/manga discussion. Consider using either or for image sharing threads, and or for generals which have long since exhausted all fresh discussion.
- Discussion should be centered on series and characters, not the posters or communities that discuss said series and characters.
- Aim for original discussion or content, both when creating OPs and posting inside threads, and allow threads to die naturally.
- Request threads belong on or and “spoonfeeding” is not encouraged as that degrades the point/validity of using those other boards. Lurk and learn, rather than demand chores from the board.
- Threads which are Sup Forums related but have no clear alternative forms (such as buyfag/drawfag) are allowed as long as they follow these guidelines.

I want to discuss the show, since the new episode will be out in less than a day, but can't tell if we're still allowed to talk about dragon ball here. I have no idea what's going on.

Anyways, to stay on topic, exactly what is stopping Frieza from nuking everyone and everything? If he's at risk of being knocked out, why wouldn't he death ball the entire ring and be done with it? I think he's smart enough to know he's headed back to hell after the tournament finishes, if they do manage to win. And if they lose, he'll just be erased. Frieza does not come off as the type of character that would gracefully bow out when he's about to lose.

This is very good. DBS threads suffer from literally all the problems listed here and that's why they're so cancerous.

The mod team has vaguely tried to do something on and off about general threads starting in 2015 when they kicked a bunch of random crap off Sup Forums. This is probably just one part of a big thing.

No, all the generals were getting way too cancerous. But Dbs threads were definitely some of the worse.

Look at the fucking catalogue. It didn't change shit. Even disregarding threads that are only up to discuss the new rules, the board is a complete mess. I wanna say it's not related because of the fact that Goku hasn't shown signs of having potential unlocked. Starting to think that Goku blacks spirit invaded /ourguys/ body theory. Who knows for sure Dragonball can't be easily predicted like One Piece.
