Roshi is at least as strong as one of Freeza's soldiers. Aside from 2 or 3 people of each team, the rest are pretty weak.

Why is there such a gap between Hit and rest of the U6 or Goku and the U7? Or Trio de Danger and rest of the U9? It's almost like there's something fishy going on...

From what we've seen from their fights (like against the plant thing in their universe), I guess the Pride Troopers' strength isn't individual, but as a team. Except for Toppo and Jiren, the rest are pretty weak individually.

Because the writers have no idea of how to write a good antagonist or how to create any sort of buildup. Imagine how threatening the Pride Troopers would be if this episode had been the first time they fought, and then after Hit and Goku defeated Dyspo, Toppo said that Dyspo was their weakest member. That would be hype as fuck.

To be fair, Goku, Vegeta and Gohan are kinda on the same level with Goku being ahead, Vegeta a close second and Gohan as the wild card while we can't be sure how strong Frieza really is, probably as much as Goku or even stronger so U7 isn't that imbalanced Fuck 17, I refuse to accept the retcon

So three things of importance this episode:
-SSGSS is stronger than SSG. That's confirmed. It's also confirmed that Goku can call upon that form at will. This whole thing seems like video game balancing to me though. It's slightly weaker but takes less stamina? Is this seriously an RPG or something?

-Zeno(s) couldn't see shit. They can't keep up with fast fighters, even though Angels and high level fighters could. This might mean that Zeno can't fight at all, he can just do grand cosmic shit. I mean we know he really can delete universes because he destroyed all of them in the last arc, but that might be a different form of power than being able to fight. This explains why he has bodyguards.

-Pride Troopers might not be as good or noble as we thought. Toppo told them to drop the hero act and just survive. Now this doesn't mean they were faking it before, but it might imply that. We'll have to see. Jiren might be a legit villain and not just the antagonist we thought he was.

18 is a girl on a shounen series and she'd be out of the tournament if it wasn't for Krillin. Maybe it was fanservice for feeding the fragile ego of Japanese men but still happened. Besides, there's no proof so far she's even SSJ2-tier so not even close to 17's mounstrous power-up. Wouldn't be surprised if 18 get eliminated and 17 remain for really long time. Toei invested too much on him already.
