I think I figured it out!

>I think I figured it out!
>commercial break
>I figured it out!
>You did it! Here's how
"heh, very creative but you have no evidence"
>Actually I do, here is my evidence
"Oh you got me, here's why I did it"
>episode immediately ends

I'm only on Season 3, are all 900 episodes like this?

Just skip the filler episodes if you get burnt out so easily.

Not all, but maybe 95%. Then there's the 5% that are Kaitou Kid, Black Org or Tokyo love story episodes.

I just think its weird that every episode follows this formula. I was mostly wondering if at some point they at least keep the episode going for a minute or two after the criminal explains why they did it, they always just immediately end the episode with no reactions from anyone

are you watching them until the end? there's often 1 or 2 minutes of stuff after the ending song.

Yeah, but it almost never involves the people from the case, its just a wacky little ending scene. Its not a huge complaint anyway, its just a little jarring sometimes how it just immediately cuts to the ending theme when the criminal is done explaining why they did it

The best episodes focus on the cops

I fucking wish we got more of this
it'd be great seeing more of Conan and Lupin together, it'd be a lot of fun having them both trying to outwit each other

>Not reading it to see if you can guess who was killer and how he did it.

I watched the first 3 movies recently. I'd say watch those.

The only thing carrying those movies were kimi ga ireba.

The 4th movie got pretty good and the 5th was the best solely because of Haibara physics.

I think they were fine since I had a craving for Conan but didn't want to watch the tv series. The 3rd one was nice since it had Kogoro being awesome. Do other movies have that or even the tv series for that matter or is ti always him just being comic relief?

I think you figured it out!

He's pretty okay in the movies but is a comic relief in most of the anime, especially filler episodes.

Every now and then, like once in 100 episodes, he would throw out some Judo moves and if I remember correctly, there were about 2-3 episodes out of 400+ I've watched where he actually outsmarted Conan.

That's sad since I like him more than Conan. Are the voices still the same after all those years? While I don't remeber his german voice hearing him in japanese for the first time was weird but it's a funny one.

>Are the voices still the same after all those years?
Yes, unless I'm tone-deaf because I don't notice any changes so far.

Some of us actually likes this formula.

Kogoro changed around episode 500 because his VA retired
Fortunately the successor was good enough

Otherwise everyone else stayed the same yeah

>Hey, there are traces of tape somewhere! That means the character of the day who's characterized but not overly so as to become a red herring did it remotely, using convoluted wire contraption X! The motive is related to Japanese wordplay, but the culprit confesses it all on their own after the trick is exposed!
Every single case.

>conan is still a kid

Real talk
stand alone episodes or 2 part episodes?
Which ones are better

3 part.
Standalones are generally too short for anything interesting.

the multi-episode cases are objectively the best ones

I'm honestly kind of surprised they didn't just increase the run time for episodes to an hour instead of sticking with the half hour format. The standalone episodes always feel so rushed

>5 part encounter with the black organisation

Broadcasting schedule is tight, senpai.
If they go for an hour each time, they'll just end up with the same cliffhanger whenever there's a 1part followed by 2part cases or 3part case.

>12.5 days of content one single show
why is this allowed to happen, how does one even try to watch that?

One at a time.
>tfw 419 in

2.5 hours episode with the the BO

>filler

You don't even know the meaning of the words you use, user.

I'm pretty sure I do.

Are there any DC episodes that don't recreate a manga chapter?

If you're being so picky about words, then fine, I'll call them anime-original episodes.

Why don't they just let Conan solve the mystery and return to his normal size, then start a new series where he's older?

>anime-original episodes
That would be what fillers are, but DC has nothing like that afaik.

I'm sure its the same reason anime and manga have couple baiting the whole time, we all know it will happen but it's to give the mc a long term goal and to keep the reader stringed along.
I mean, as soon as he becomes an adult again he's going to have Ran in a mating press within 24 hours so it's the same thing. Conan returning to normal just means he can date Ran.

Well, you're wrong, there is quite a lot of anime -original episodes, even in the beginning.

Is this some kind of joke? DC has over 300 anime original episodes, 95% of them are shit as well.

Read the manga, read only plot important stuff or any cases you think you might like. Also read Magic Kaito.
