The HD rip quality isn't great. The SD has fewer artifacts but in some ways the HD looks better (color, detail, etc)

It's a 45 episode show. That's an average of 1.1GB per episode which is reasonable for an old show with grain. Now the quality leaves something to be desired but the size really is reasonable.

I agree in a vacuum, but for my situation 50 gigs isn't all that reasonable right now. I only have 4TB of storage available for seeding, and I'd rather not remove a series or two from the pool for an encode of this quality to size ratio.
