The most frightening thing about the current push for gun control is the notion that those with mental illness should be prohibited from buying a gun. Not only does this restrict the inalienable right of all people to defend themselves, but it sets the precedent that people with mental illness deserve less rights than normies.

Anyone who knows anything about the history of the political abuse of psychiatry knows how frightening and how quintessentially marxist this idea is. Can Sup Forums start another campaign like "It's okay to be white" but instead put up posters that say something like "Equal Rights for the Mentally Ill" or something to that effect?

"Mental illness" is such a vague concept that anyone can be classified as mentally ill. It is obvious where this is going to lead. You think browsing Sup Forums is seen by the public as a sign of mental stability?

They aren't just coming after our guns. They are coming after *us*. We have to do something about this.

The 'unalienable' rights endowed by their creator are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Not the Bill of Rights or the 2nd Amendment. The Constitution was created to protect the 'unalienable' rights of the Declaration of Independence.

Doesn't matter what the constitution purports to protect. The right to arm yourself and your family is in an inalienable right no matter what any legal documents say. Anyone who disagrees is violating an inalienable right and does not deserve to have any of their rights respected in return.

The future will come in which the feds will seize and confiscate all U.S firearms not because the senseless violence and mass murders need to stop, but because the supreme court will rule that the second amendment is invalid because the populace does not have the right to stage an armed revolt against the government. Washington has suppressed small scale armed revolts numerous times in the past (there was one immediately after the end of the Revolutionary war, that was quelled by forces led by Washington himself), and will have absolutely no qualms about doing so if the need arises in the future. Amendments have been repealed before (eg. the 18th) and they can absolutely be repealed again.

The right is essentially setting itself for a future in which the feds will have no choice but to declare "turn in your guns or we fucking hunt you down". Mercenary groups are already being consolidated for this exact purpose, and there's always drones available for those who think they can barricade themselves up in the wilderness. Its not going to be pretty.
